St Katherine Care Home is a family owned concern committed to providing high levels of care to older persons. The welfare of residents is assured by the skilled team of committed carers, combined with professional expertise, complemented by a pleasant and friendly attitude, under the leadership of the qualified Registered Manager with over 15 years’ worth of experience.

The home is conveniently situated in Bitterne Park, Southampton, close to local amenities within the Bitterne Park Triangle and a short walk from Riverside Park. It is a short journey away from Southampton’s city centre.

The home completed a large scale extension in December 2021, adding a collection of 8 tastefully designed luxury en-suite bedrooms with HD-ready SMART televisions in each bedroom. In addition, the original property underwent a significant refurbishment, including the addition of a brand new 8 passenger lift, making the entire home wheelchair accessible with ease. The extension brings the total number of bedrooms to 24. All rooms have individually controlled heating and in-room hand-washing facilities. 12 of the rooms also have en-suite facilities. All rooms have TV points enabling residents to watch TV in the comfort of their own room. The home has a large, spacious and airy central lounge and dining room. To the rear of the property is a large garden and patio area, which is accessible to all residents.

My mum's life has been transformed since she moved to St Katherine's. The staff are delightful, caring, compassionate and sensitive. Nothing is too much trouble. There are activities organised by the staff to involve everyone if they wish to participate. Mum is now socialising and no longer by herself.
It is a pleasure to visit and see the difference the home has made to Mum's life. We are so happy and relieved she is now receiving excellent care.

Amazing care home. Have loved visiting my nan here ever since I started coming. It's very clean and the staff are really nice. They seem like they really look after my nan. And it shows as she always tells me how much she likes it there. Highly recommend.

My father-in-law is staying here. He always looks very well looked after. Always clean-shaven and showered.
He enjoys his meals here, the food always looks great and a good choice too.
I can't fault the staff here, they look after him extremely well and are so welcoming to us too.

Every single person at St Katherine's is exceptionally kind and caring.
They are polite, nothing is too much trouble for them, as visitors we are treated with respect and they are very friendly.
They have plenty of activities for everyone, and the food is really nourishing and satisfying.

I have found the care home manager and staff friendly, helpful and caring with my mother, and easy to talk to about everything. They do lots of wonderful craft things, exercise and music with all clients. It's a fun, friendly home.

The staff are all excellent.
My very dear friend has been here for nearly four years now.

My cousin could no longer live independently at home and moved to St Katherine's in May 2023. She took a while to settle in as she really didn't want to go into care... We were concerned that she would be very unhappy and would decline.
She has complex medical needs (including dementia) and can be
a little 'challenging' at times.
St Katherine's has proved to be the best care home we could ever have selected! My cousin now says she loves living there. The home is clean and welcoming, and the staff have the patience of Saints and attend to her many needs in a competent, caring manner.
My cousin is a very fussy eater and enjoys all the food provided. She needed to gain weight and certainly has.
She enjoys the activities and is really looking forward to an outing tomorrow to a Christmas lunch in a local pub.
St Katherine's is a well-run, gem of a place, and we can't recommend it highly enough.

This care home is so friendly. I love coming to visit my Mum, it goes over and beyond the call of duty. The staff really look after my mum. The food is excellent and they also have fantastic activities going on. My mum has never been happier. It's just so comforting there, so clean and all the staff

My mother, who is 96 and has dementia, has been at St Katherine’s since March 2023, so eight months now. I have nothing but praise for the staff and the level of care they provide to my mum. This care home is bright, airy, very clean and superbly friendly whilst maintaining professionalism. Nothing
seems to be too much trouble for the staff regarding care for the residents, and they always make me feel welcome at my regular, frequent visits.

My mother has resided at St Katherine's since May 2023, and I cannot thank the manager and her staff for the care and attention that they have given her. Due to her Alzheimer's, she can be very challenging at times, but staff have the patience to deal with her in a professional and considerate manner.
I can rest in the knowledge that my mother is being cared for in a safe, secure and friendly environment.

My mum started at the home in March and became a permanent resident in April. The home has been really accommodating, with letting Mum stay for a few hours then overnight so she got used to her new surroundings. She soon settled in. Visiting Mum at the home the staff are friendly and welcoming. Mum
looks clean, tidy and happy. I'm so pleased with the home, they have made this sad transition into care so much easier.

Very pleased with the care my elderly relative is receiving at the care home. She has been a resident there for eight months and is very happy. The staff are friendly and caring and go out of their way for the residents and the friends/family that visit.
While the home doesn't look much from the outside,
the care given inside exceeds any expectations I had.

Lovely home. Nan has been with the home for many years. She is always looked after so well and treated with friendly and respectful staff. Nan always talks bout the food and how good it is, and she gets fed well. At 98, she is very happy as I am with there great care.

Mother (92 years) was in the hospital for nine weeks and then placed at St Katherine's bu hospital/local authority. The initial impression on the first visit was very positive, and the home was clean, tidy and welcoming - this was at the beginning of December 2022, and Mother is content and happy. Mum's
care needs have been fully met, with staff being kind, caring and attentive. We couldn't have found better in our opinion. Just attended an afternoon tea for friends and family - well organised. Much appreciated by ourselves.

I am so pleased that my brother was accepted here. They assessed his needs, and he is now getting the appropriate care he requires, something, unfortunately, I was unable to give him. He has settled there really well in a short time, and I believe this is due to the fantastic team looking after him.
The care home always looks spotless, and he says the food is very good. Yesterday they put on a tea party for the residents and families. The spread of food was awesome, and I have to agree with my brother's words... it's yummy. There was a calm, relaxed atmosphere that not only reflected on the residents but those visiting. An excellent, well-run care home that I can find no fault with and would recommend to anyone looking for loving care for their loved one. Well done, St Katherines.

We are so pleased to have a place for my aunty here. The staff are friendly and caring, and the home itself is always clean and tidy. The residents are extremely well cared for and are given a choice of delicious meals from a varied menu. The staff interact well with residents and attended to all their

We had a very friendly welcome from all of the staff we met during our visit. The manager and her team continue to show how much they care for their residents. The Covid measures in place are well managed and not overly extreme. The communication pre-visit was excellent and much appreciated.

This home is amazing. It is well run, well managed, calm and caring. Mum is looked after so well and has put on weight. Her thing that she likes to do is look out of a window, so the home has given her her own seat by the window. I couldn't be any happier with her care; they are wonderful.
