St Anthony's is a home from home style care home for the elderly specializsng in dementia care. Situated in a quiet residential area, close to the Centre of Watford, it is convenient for bus routes as well being close to the Rickmansworth Road (A412) and Cassiobury Park, St Michael's Church (C of E).

The vision is to provide the best quality care and deliver an activity programme created to benefit physical, mental and social well-being. The dedicated team of care staff are trained in all aspects of care and are all experienced in supporting residents living with dementia. Their primary objective will be to make you feel that St Anthony's is your home, not "a home", y providing the highest standard of care in a warm friendly environment .

There are 21 comfortable bedrooms, lounge and dining rooms, delightfully landscape garden and separate washing facilities. Traditional meals provide a balanced diet and ensure healthy eating for all residents.

The lovely garden is the perfect space for leisurely walks, entertaining and games and sports.

The Activity Programme focuses on mind, body and soul through a range of activities such as fitness classes, musical entertainment, arts and crafts, baking, flower arranging and reminiscence games. By getting involved with the activity programme, residents see improvements in their physical health and their emotional well-being.

The team provide residential, respite, dementia and palliative care packages tailored to the needs of each individual within a homely setting.

My aunt moved into St Anthony's almost 3 years ago and I have visited here on a weekly basis ever since. I have always found the home to be warm, clean and tidy and the staff are very friendly and professional putting the resident's well-being first. There is regular entertainment including sing-a-longs
and quizzes. For those able to attend they have an annual summer trip to Ruislip Lido for a pub lunch, an August BBQ where relatives and friends are welcome, a trip into Watford town for Christmas shopping followed by afternoon tea and cakes. It's good to visit and know when leaving that my aunt is safe, happy and well cared for.

Home is run very efficiently. Lovely welcoming staff. Not the most up-to-date furniture wise but certainly adequate for needs. Have been accommodating for my father who was wrongly discharged from the hospital. Good choice of food and accommodate likes/dislikes on daily basis.

When my husband and myself first went to the home the owners and staff greeted us very warmly. Every time we visited, nothing was too much trouble. The home has a very warm and friendly atmosphere and is like a home from home. The rooms are all a good size and staff are all aware of the people being
residents or visitors coming and going and always greet you by name. Each resident has their own carer. I myself, cannot fault the home about anything.

I can only speak for my Aunt but she appears to be as happy as I've ever known her to be. The staff are always warm and welcoming. The home is clean and warm and the rooms (as far as I can see) are highly satisfactory. With some very challenging circumstances at times, it is my belief that the home
functions very well indeed and the residents that I meet seem very contented.
