Beane River View, in Hertford, provides a range of care services for older people, including: residential care, dementia care and respite breaks.

The home is warm and inviting and is ideally situated next to the River Beane. Located just a minute’s walk from the centre of Hertford, Beane River View has fantastic transport links, including two train stations based within the town and easy access to the A10.

Residents benefit from a wide range of communal areas to relax or socialise in within the home, or they can enjoy the privacy of their own room. Each bedroom is fully furnished with en-suite facilities and the nurse call system ensures that residents can relax knowing that care is always on hand should they need it.

Residents can also enjoy the onsite café at Beane River View, where they can welcome loved ones for tea, coffee and other refreshments.

The activities team arrange a varied activities programme inclusive of activities to suit each resident's hobbies and interests.

Our mum is well looked after, always clean and comfortable. The food is very good, also the staff always attentive and patient.

Wonderful to see dad as best we can at the moment. Nice that he has a friendly home life with the staff who are superb. He is being looked after so well and we really appreciate what the staff are doing for him.

My mother has now had 3 years residency at Beane River View even during this time she has received exceptional care by all the staff and management without exception. The combination of care, medical attention and good nutrition have resulted in mum achieving a stable and healthy condition whilst suffering
the chronic symptoms of dementia. A massive thanks to the team who have really pulled out the stops during this year's events.

Saw my wife on a garden visit today, in these unusual times having not seen her for four months I didn't know how she would be. I am very pleased to say she looked well and contented and I felt extremely relieved. Well done all the staff in these difficult circumstances.

This was my third visit to Beane River View and I was very well looked after by the caring staff who were always attentive to my needs. My visitors found the staff to be hospitable and friendly. I expect to be coming back for another respite week.

Having moved mum from another care home where she wasn't happy, she now appears extremely settled and happy. She gets on well with the staff who are extremely friendly, helpful and caring. As he has been away for most of September, I have been unable to give the manager an 'excellent' rating, however,
this is no reflection on him and there have been no issues with general management of the home. All in all, I am very happy with mums placement at Beane River View.

Mum was at Beane River for 13 months. The carers were all very kind, caring and humorous. Food was excellent and the home was kept clean. Due to the distance, I would only visit once a week. Therefore, I didn't know how many activities took place each week. The cinema and made-up pub are very good.

I and family are really pleased with Beane River's attention to detail and wish to support both the individual at Beane River and the spouse and family. The house feels like a home. Care is thorough and sympathetic and the staff's care includes not only the new resident but also the resident's spouse.

Mum is very happy and settled at the home, she only has good words to say and is very happy to return "home" after either I or my sisters have taken her out. All the staff are fantastic and can not do enough, absolute credit and joy to talk to. Her room is always clean and smelling, she compliments
the food and her own shower has made a great difference.

Dad has resided here since April 2016. He has vascular dementia. As his needs have changed they have been met by introducing dementia resources. When dad is ill a doctor is called and I'm updated with the results.
All the carers seem to know dad and his needs. They are always very friendly and attentive.

I feel very relieved that I know that my relative is always well looked after, is kept safe, comfortable, well-fed and as contented as possible in the circumstances of dementia. I have been impressed by how much effort and imagination staff and management have put into the communal life of the home,
especially at Christmas. I have also always been kept well informed of any medical situations occurring.

Beane River View is a caring, secure home for my mum.
She regularly comments on the lovely staff and how happy she is to be there.
The activities are engaging; my mum recently started singing with the choir and a concert was held at Christmas.

Excellent care. All staff are very professional but treating residents as important individuals with specific needs. Interior is always sparkling clean, bright, attractive with "memory corners and areas"
Menus varied to suit every palette and residents encouraged to eat and drink at regular intervals.

It’s often the Administrator that brings the IT skills to a home, helping them to keep everything organised.
