My mother stayed at Dapplemere for respite care after being in the hospital. She had a lovely room with access to the garden. She was incredibly well looked after, and we cannot praise the staff highly enough. They were very flexible and accommodating to my mother's needs and even let her dog visit
whenever necessary! We wouldn't hesitate to use Dapplemere again should the need arise.

My dad has been at Dapplemere for about four years now. I have commented before about how pleased I was with the care he receives. It is his home and that is the most important quality that the excellent manager and staff bring to Dad's daily life.
Not only that, the food is great!
But I wanted
to write about a recent development: the appointment of an activities manager.
She has really made a difference. The activities are personally tailored and engage the residents. I have no doubt that my dad's brighter mood is significantly due to the fact that his mind is much more active. As a retired professional musician, he enjoys the live music too.
Caring for the body is one thing... but caring for the mind is just as important, and these new activities are really good news.

My aunt has been at Dapplemere for nearly three years. We have always been impressed with the care and kindness she has received from all members of staff. They go out of their way to do the important little things which make a real difference to her happiness. Since being at Dapplemere she has become
far more sociable and open to new experiences. Having a cat as a resident is just the icing on the cake! We always enjoy our visits to see her, usually sitting in the garden with tea and biscuits and watching the red kites. Despite living hundreds of miles away from her, and wanting to see her more often, we have decided nowhere else could be as suited to her as Dapplemere. It's a very special place and the staff are a real cut above.

Mum was "discharged to assess" from hospital into Dapplemere in February 2021. Luckily, I was made aware that a relative of someone she once worked with, and whom I also knew, had been a resident at Dapplemere for some years. They were very satisfied with Dapplemere, so it was easy to decide that Mum
become a permanent resident there. From that point, Mum has been very well cared for.
All staff (irrespective of role) are very friendly and always give you time. It's heartening to see how they interact with Mum. Arranging a visit to suit me is never a problem and is very easy. On warm sunny days, it's nice to meet with Mum in the garden.
During 2022 there's been an increase in activities and events for residents, which have been well received.
I usually visit during a morning and pass by the kitchen on the way to Mum's room. I've never failed to delight in the wonderful aroma of forthcoming lunches!
It's a weight off my mind that Mum is in a loving and caring environment.

The atmosphere is always calm and the staff are kind, caring and patient with my dad. The food provided is excellent and we are pleased to see that a new activities coordinator has joined the staff team.

This small home has a friendly, family and caring atmosphere. Overall, all-round care for my husband has been excellent with plenty of good food. Staff always treat him with kindness and respectful dignity. I feel cared for as well. Any issues I have raised have been addressed appropriately.

Externally, as you arrive it is not encouraging. The building is old and adopted and low ceilings and narrow walkways with different levels. The rooms and everywhere is clean and tidy. The food is very good and the staff are excellent, friendly, polite, helpful and easy to get on with. The noises and
smells are just like a normal home, very good.

All the staff worked very hard and tirelessly to make Valentine's Day special for us. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was fantastic - 5 stars! The carers make us feel they respect us and treat us like normal, mentally competent folk. They listen to us, consult us and discuss any worries or problems
and give good sound advice. I feel like I am in my second loving family. We are kept well informed of any changes and made to feel our opinion counts.

My mother feels safe and happy ay Dapplemere. Her room is lovely and looks out onto a nice garden. She says the staff are kind and the food is good. There doesn't seem to be many activities for residents but maybe that is partly due to Covid-19.

My godmother stayed at Dapplemere for several weeks in early 2021. She was content here and stated that the food was very tasty. The staff here were exceptional. I cannot say enough regarding their genuine care and attention. I'd like to send special thanks to the staff.

My Mother is 88 and moved into Dapplemere in 2011 and has been very happy there. We are moving her only because the immediate family has relocated 80 miles away. Right from the start, the staff have shown nothing but kindness and love to her, which is all that matters. Flash homes and glitzy buildings
are not worth the money if the care isn't up to standard and we have never seen or heard of any cause for concern for my mother or any other resident. She will miss her carers and we will all be sorry to say goodbye to them.
