Guysfield Care Home is a Victorian building with a warm welcoming family atmosphere. The home has highly trained staff available to get to know residents individually offering the highest standards of residential, nursing and dementia care on a permanent and short stay basis.

The home is surrounded by beautiful rural countryside and stands within large grounds of south facing landscaped gardens, with mature trees and shrubs and large areas of terracing where residents can sit and enjoy the rural views in changing seasons.

Guysfield Care Home is part of Caring Homes, an established, family-run care company. Every team member receives their unique ‘Living in My World’ dementia training which is accredited by City and Guilds. It highlights the importance of meaningful activities and a stimulating environment for people living with dementia, as well as addressing clinical aspects of care.

My mother suffers from dementia and has been at Guysfield since February 2021. I feel totally supported in her care by all the staff including working with the diversity of our culture. The activities team have embraced our guidance on cultural days for our mother who is Asian. My mother has felt very
supported and cared for in her new home. Especially with the lack of contact during the pandemic. She has made great friends with other residents and the staff. She speaks highly of them and when she remembers, the activities she has done. As her family carer, I feel very comforted knowing and seeing that she is in a safe and happy place. Thank you all at Guysfield!

We were very reassured to find my mother in such a wonderful caring environment. She was well turned out, clean, with her hair recently styled and after not seeing her for over two years, this was so good to see.
The home itself seems to be very clean and a lovely environment for a person to spend
their twilight years.

My dad has been a resident for a few years now. He is very happy at Guysfield, and it is of great comfort to me and family, knowing he is so well looked after. The staff are amazing and are a great support to the family too! Wonderful place - thank you all!

My mum has been here several months now and is very settled and happy at Guysfield. The staff are very kind and do so much for her and treat her with absolute kindness. I am much more relaxed now she is in good hands and completely safe there. The resident cat is adorable!

Staff are very friendly and caring to me and to Dad. They always have time for you. Dad is safe and settled. They keep me informed and in contact via Facebook, WhatsApp, video calls and email photos so that I can see what Dad has been up to even if he can't remember.

I have been really pleased with the care mum has received at Guysfield. They have had no Covid-19 cases and the staff have been fantastic. We have been able to Skype mum all through the pandemic and have recently been having very safe face to face visits which has been really good. I am very impressed
with the whole set up at Guysfield and would definitely recommend the Care Home to families looking for a safe friendly environment for their loved ones.

My Mother has been a resident for over three years and suffers from dementia. She is cared for in a sympathetic and loving way, which rewards her incredibly positive characteristics. The staff are all courteous/attentive/kind and patient, even during the current pandemic. They deserve the greatest of
accolades and appreciation of all residents and families for managing to maintain (thus far) a Covid-109 free environment. I could not wish for anything better for my beautiful Mum. Caring Homes are obviously a good company as the majority of staff who we met three years ago are still in place, loyalty begets loyalty. They manage well with limited resources as a result of poor Government budget choices, reducing the rates paid to these companies.

My mother has been a resident at Guysfield since September 2018. Since being there she has received very good care. In February 2019 she became very unwell and was admitted to hospital. On being discharged back to Guysfield she was still very poorly, but due to the dedicated care team, Mum has improved
tremendously. It is all down to the excellent care and being supportive to her needs. The staff are friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. I am very happy my mother is at Guysfield, knowing she is in a safe environment and being well cared for.

The staff and management are very caring and supportive to all. They have made my Nan smile again, which I will always be grateful for. I would recommend it to anyone who needs it. I love that they have activities and a hairdresser, as Nan used to live getting her hair done.

Everyone here is just 'ordinary' nice and friendly. They make you feel at home, informed, not like an intruder. Staff are very reassuring and give you a hug when you need it, which is important. Dad is safe but I need support to adjust to things.

In the six weeks my mother has been in the care of the Guysfield Care team, the staff are very pleasant and helpful and I am completely satisfied that her welfare and needs are being well looked after. She seems very happy and quite settled. Her room is tailored to her needs. I'm quite happy that she
is safe and well and the home is run extremely efficiently.
