Guysfield Care Home is a Victorian building with a warm welcoming family atmosphere. The home has highly trained staff available to get to know residents individually offering the highest standards of residential, nursing and dementia care on a permanent and short stay basis.

The home is surrounded by beautiful rural countryside and stands within large grounds of south facing landscaped gardens, with mature trees and shrubs and large areas of terracing where residents can sit and enjoy the rural views in changing seasons.

Guysfield Care Home is part of Caring Homes, an established, family-run care company. Every team member receives their unique ‘Living in My World’ dementia training which is accredited by City and Guilds. It highlights the importance of meaningful activities and a stimulating environment for people living with dementia, as well as addressing clinical aspects of care.

We have had only positive experiences of the home. The staff are friendly, the rooms clean and settings very nice. My mother seems settled and happy.

The home manager has been extremely supportive at this difficult time. Her staff have been great with my dad and from being a volatile man whose intention was to be at his home to a man who now calls Guysfield his home. An asset to the staff who made this transition easier for him. My dad loves the
view from your windows especially his room. He loves nature so a perfect spot for him. My thanks to all the great staff.

My mother is now very difficult - which upsets me greatly. Guysfield staff are always understanding and patient. The staff are so kind to me when I'm upset after visiting mother. Every member of staff deserves a medal!

Identify residents needs individually and can meet them very well. For example, my father has lived on his own for a number of years and came from a different part of the country. He feels at home here. Events such as the Queen's 90th birthday drawing competition, my father won with his pencil drawing
of the Queen.

From the very first visit, all the staff, from managers to care staff, have been helpful and reassuring. We have only been with the care home for one week. Their care for our relative has been excellent.
