My sister-in-law has been in Heath Lodge for 3 years. She loved the home and all the carers, last week she died and all the staff went above and beyond to help make my life easier. You are very lucky to have such caring wonderful people working for you.

I have found the care given to be excellent. The staff take time to communicate effectively and are welcoming to relatives and thoughtful with residents.
I would not hesitate to recommend this facility to friends and family.

Generally, I am happy with the care given, however, because of my mother's condition she is unable to make use of any activities and is alone in her room all day.
She also often has a long wait to be hoisted on to the toilet due to the lack of available/free staff, the hoist often resulting in torn
clothing as well as discomfort. Her main complaint, however, is the choice and quality of the food.

We have raised your concerns to our regional and quality managers who will look into your concerns in further depth. We have started looking into activities that your mother can participate in either on her own or with other residents, depending on the circumstance. All residents have key workers which is to enable positive regular relationship building. We have regular resident feedback sessions, our last session took place in March 2018. In these sessions, we discuss what more we can do for our residents, then begin to implement the ideas into reality. We would like you to attend our upcoming feedback session which will be Thursday 22nd November 2018. Your involvement can shape and create a positive experience for your mother. Our friend is very happy here and the staff have been excellent in helping him feel at home. The staff are very caring and nothing stops them in giving sensitive care.

My father-in-law has now been in Heath Lodge for the last 4 months. I find the management and staff very helpful and friendly, nothing seems to be a problem for them. My father-in-law is always clean shaven, clean clothed and most importantly to us is that he is happy. I would definitely recommend Heath
Lodge.

When I go to see my grandpa he is always well looked after and all carers are looking after him and getting him food and drink. They are always making him look presentable. Staff are very friendly and I think they do a tremendous job.

Although my father has only been attending for short while at the moment. From Day 1 have been impressed at the professional, compassionate staff and management of the care they give to all the residents. Nothing is a problem and feel at ease that my father's ongoing needs are being attended to. 5 Star.

The home is very clean. The staff are friendly and very good at their job.
They do their best to make it a nice place for the residents to stay.
The staff are always there to update me on how my mother is.

My father is a permanent resident at Heath Lodge and I’ve never seen him smile so often.
The staff are wonderful from management right down to care staff. His medical care is all taken care of which takes away the stress and worry. I’ve never seen him without a drink or biscuit/cake, they are so caring.

would highly recommend Heath Lodge and would like to reiterate the staff are fantastic, it really is like one big family.

The general turn over of staff is a worry but have never found cause to be concerned with the care given to residents. Home is very much cleaner than it has been in the past and smells a lot fresher. Would like to see key workers assigned to residents so you have a direct contact when calling for
updates. Rooms need to be re-decorated and made more personalised. Tighter control of residents laundry needs to be addressed. Overall never had any concerns about the care given to my mother-in-law.

Whenever I visit the home I am impressed by the care and genuine affection given by the staff to my mother. She also appears to receive excellent medical care when needed. I have the impression my mother is happy here.

My father-in-law was dying, and we needed to move him into a local care home. During our visit to look at Heath Lodge, we specifically asked how much we would be charged in the event of death within a week of admission. We were verbally told by a manager that the total charge would be 7 days’ fees.
We moved my father-in-law to Heath Lodge; he passed away after 4 days.
We assumed Gold Care Homes would charge us 7 days’ fees - however, they actually charged us for 18 days (4 days residents’ fees PLUS a 14-day charge in the event of death).
Our mistake: signing their contract upon admission whilst assuming that head office would honour the verbal contract of 7 days’ fees agreed by their company representatives at the ‘sales’ end of their process.
Heath Lodge staff were caring and professional, but I cannot give Gold Care Homes a good review because their head office overrode their manager's promise to us.

I visited my aunt on April 15th. In all the years she has been a resident I have never seen her so happy and she communicated with me. It was an absolute delight. The team who look after her were amazing - so polite and understanding. I cannot praise you all enough. Thank you. Heath Lodge, I applaud
