Anson Court is based in a quiet, residential area and offers residential, dementia and respite care, as well as day care for older people who are still living in the community. The home provides accommodation for up to 75 older people.

The home is situated close to local amenities and offers all the comfort you'd expect from a modern care home.

Within the home you’ll find a café which provides an ideal place to sit and socialise with friends and family over tea, coffee and other refreshments.

The home also includes a number of comfortable and inviting lounges, a hairdressing salon and shop as well as welcoming dining areas. All of the bedrooms are en-suite and are fully furnished with items from the carefully selected range.

Within the grounds of the home you'll find beautiful landscaped gardens which feature a number of seating areas and patios as well as raised planters. The gardens are overlooked by large balconies which are a perfect place to sit and socialise during the warmer months.

Thoroughly enjoyed our meal as a family during the dining experience evening. The staff are always so friendly and kind. A lot of extra effort for the staff but much appreciated.

My mother in law has fitted in very well, she is flourishing and loves her 'club'. The activities help to keep her brain active and stimulated. The staff are caring, professional and a credit to Quantum Care.

Anson Court on the first visit was lovely. The staff were also very friendly and helpful but as time has lapsed and my father has become a permanent resident, things have changed. The staff are all lovely and do a fabulous job but not the same can be said for the managers. There is NEVER anybody on
reception to let you in or out and quite often only two members of staff on at night. Showers, cold taps etc have not worked and been left unrepaired.

However, we are sorry to hear your concerns regarding our managers, who have received much praise for their hard work, passion and commitment by other residents and families that reside in this home. Their confidence in the management team is backed up by their reviews for Anson Court on this site.

We confirm that the cover at night time is correctly staffed in accordance with best practice, that our reception is monitored 24/7, but on the odd occasion staff may be dealing with customers in other parts of the building and apologise for any delays in promptly attending to visitors.

Quantum Care is committed to providing quality care and support to all our residents throughout their stay with us. On this occasion, we understand that there was a defect with the shower unit in your father’s en-suite, that had to be rectified by the original contractor of this new build. Unfortunately, this took much longer than expected for the contractor to repair but we understand there was a modern, fully equipped bathroom, which was available for your father’s use, a short distance from his bedroom. We do apologise for any inconvenience caused during this time and hope that the remainder of your father’s stay with us will continue to be a happy one.

My mother, who has Alzheimer's, moved into Hyde Valley House at the end of June. We have been amazed at how quickly she has settled in. She is so happy and much more relaxed than she was in her own home. She is eating well and looks so much better. The staff are wonderful - so caring. Within a few days,
they had learned her name and her likes and dislikes. Everyone is so friendly and the home has a lovely calm feeling about it. We can visit whenever we want and any questions we have are answered immediately. I particularly like the fact that the residents are encouraged to socialise, which is very important to my mum as she loves to be with people. As a family we really couldn't be happier and Mum says that although she did love her home, she was lonely and now she is not lonely and thinks it is a very nice place to live - in fact, her actual words were, 'I am very lucky to have a place like this to live in' - can't say better than that!

As when I looked around Hyde Valley House to put my mum in a care home, I was so impressed with the home in every way. Staff and managers are so nice, they made us welcome when we looked around, it's so lovely and clean. I just knew from the first time that my mum would love it here. It is like home
from home and my family are so happy seeing my mum has been so happy here. We are all happy with the home in every way.

After 3 years of mum being in Hyde Valley where she was looked after with love and compassion, always being treated with dignity, all the family welcomed at any time - day or night, staff trying their hardest to interest her in activities and later spending hours trying to get her to eat, so much patience!
No one ever got cross with her, we the family were made very welcome and encouraged to visit often and at any time.


When she became bedridden the staff were always in and out, talking to her just as though she was still able to reply, though she never did. Knowing she was fading away, staff would sit with her when we couldn't, even in her last hours with family around her they couldn't do enough to help us. My daughter was alone with her nan and one of the staff stayed with her as my mum passed away. She stayed until I could see her, for her help and compassion, I will always be grateful.

My family are so impressed and grateful for the care given to my mother. The whole setup of the home is a testament to the commitment of the staff and the excellent management. Bricks and mortar are irrelevant, the staff make this such a success and I cannot speak highly enough about them. Every single
staff member who has had any contact with my family has been truly caring, hardworking, supportive and sensitive to the needs not just of my mother but also to my elderly visiting father. Nothing is too much trouble for them and I thank them all. My mother is treated with utmost dignity and respect and is amazingly well looked after and the best that's possible is done for her. Activities are provided but there is a culture of heart and soul being put in to create the best experience possible. The recent Xmas activity fundraising fayre had many cakes and handmade and knitted Xmas decorations made by staff members. They didn't have to do this but they had clearly gone the extra mile. Superb.

The position is very varied, involving plenty of resident interaction and more administrative work to keep the home running smoothly. Our Managers typically hold, or are working towards, a relevant qualification and have proven experience caring for older people.
