A really lovely afternoon at the fayre. Staff dressed up, made us feel welcome, encouraged us to participate in the music and dancing. Mum really enjoyed the day too! The decoration and balloons were lovely and I think everyone had a great time. Thank you so much for inviting us.

On Monday 25th April, I enjoyed yet another lovely evening with my dad at the dining club, having been to this special event before. As usual the meal was superb and the chefs surpassed themselves once again. It was served in a very ambient setting and in a very professional way. Both myself and my
dad had a wonderful time. I think it is an excellent way to be with your loved one in a familiar environment to them. I really hope it becomes a regular event.

Willow Court is welcoming, colourful and stimulating. The manager is a most tasteful, imaginative and smart person. She has made this home so colourful, interesting, friendly and efficient. She heads a good, thoughtful, respectful, efficient team of staff who are set on helping and encouraging people
who stay there. The first floor manager is a very enthusiastic, competent, caring and professional person. When we had a health scare, he was very prompt and used his special kit to check blood pressure, pulse, temperature etc very speedily. He listens to what people say and solves problems. The carers are devoted to their patients and most respectful.

I was pleased and relieved by the way in which my wife settled into the full time care at Willow Court. This appeared to be largely due to the consideration and understanding offered by the caring staff.

Another wonderful evening at Willow Court "pop up" restaurant for residents and their guests. It is fine dining at its best is a relaxed atmosphere. The classic starter -fresh asparagus in hollandaise sauce and it being light and appetising. Followed by a chunk of cod fillet dusted with cheddar crumbs
in a black olive/tomato buerre blanc, sat on horseradish mash- so gave it extra bite. Yummy! To end....a dessert as pretty as a picture: tea and raisin pannacotta beautifully presented and decorated with a pansy- a delight to the eye and it tasted divine. Willow Court is fortunate to have two innovative and talented chefs who offer these monthly "fine dining evenings" for the residents, many of whom would find it difficult to get out to local restaurants. Thank you the chefs and all the staff involved in making this another memorable evening.

What a splendid evening! Chef and his colleagues had put together a wonderful menu. We began with the asparagus, poached egg and hollandaise sauce which was lovely to look at whilst our host enjoyed deep fried stilton stuffed mushroom. For the main course our host enjoyed chicken stuffed with wild mushrooms
wrapped in parma ham, this was a lovely combination and along with the potato, carrots and baby turnips was a picture on the plate. Our horseradish and cheddar crusted cod fillet was served on a bed of mashed potato and was a great combination of taste and texture. For dessert we enjoyed either tiramisu, elegantly served in a large glass of tea and raison panacotta here the chefs had excelled themselves. Panacotta topped with a pansy and accompanied by cream served in a chocolate powder crusted egg on top of chocolate sauce. This was exquisite food and we all enjoyed ourselves. Bravo to all at Willow Court.

I shall miss all the friendly staff and wish them all well for the future, and a massive thank you to all

I have been here for 10 days due to an infection in my leg. The home is very friendly and all care staff are great. The manager are so helpful and nothing is too much trouble. The manager of the unit i'm in makes me feel so welcome on arrival and made me also feel so at ease. I hope that if I go into
hospital again and need to be transferred to a unit that I would come back to Willow Court if I met criteria.

I was resident at Willow Court for two plus weeks and can honestly so that my care was excellent in every way. The staff were very thoughtful and caring, and shared great commitment to their duties. My visitors were always made to feel welcome and the atmosphere was always very cheerful. Meals were
of a consistently high standard. Management were visible and attentive, throughout. My stay was for post operation care and attention; I felt very relaxed by the end of my stay and due to the on-suite physiotherapy. I regained my strength and mobility. A very positive experience in every respect, thank you Willow Court.

Current Review Score: 8.4 (8.367)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.4 (8.367) out of 10 for Willow Court is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.7 out of 5 from 4 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.6 out of 5 from 4 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.745 for Willow Court is calculated as follows: ( (35 Excellents x 5) + (12 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 47 Ratings = 4.745

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 3.622 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Willow Court is based on 4 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 = 3.375

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 81 registered maximum number of service users is 16.2. 4 Positive Reviews ÷ 16.2 = 0.247

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
