My mother has been here for five years. The staff and management are a dedicated team, who have provided excellent care for my mother. The pandemic has been extremely difficult for the staff, but have followed procedures throughout, keeping my mother themselves and visitors (when allowed) safe.

A nice clean warm home. My wife has dementia and doesn't know me as her husband, she feels safe and secure there. The staff are excellent with all the residents and my wife describes the staff as her friends. I'm well pleased with The Mead.

My wife has been in the Mead since November 2018. Throughout her residence there, my family and I have been delighted with the level of care she is shown. The staff there have gone over and above their job to show my wife genuine love and affection. They have always had her best interests at heart and
have been outstanding in keeping us informed should she have a fall, lose or gain weight etc. Thoroughly happy with our choice.

What I like about The Mead is the way it is divided into four units. There is a team of staff allocated to each unit which means that their care is focused on a specific group of residents. As a result, there is a stronger bond between staff and residents and a greater level of care and concern.

After my first visit to The Mead, I know this is the best care home for my mum. The staff are amazing, kind, caring, compassionate whilst being very professional of course mum has struggled with not being in her own flat after 2 years is more content as her vascular dementia has progressed. I cannot
express how wonderful the staff have been to myself and my daughter. I leave here each day very content that my mum is in the best place she could be.

The Mead is by far the best care home I have ever been inside. Although a number of residents are challenging everyone is treated with kindness and even love. The home is always clean and fresh, staff are always available to answer concerns and every resident is treated individually according to their
needs. Rooms are of a good size and can be personalised. I have already recommended The Mead on a number of occasions and would do so again. The only thing I would add is they could do with some new armchairs.
