Mountbatten Lodge is a purpose-build care home that's situated in a quiet residential area with a retail park within walking distance. The home offers residential care, specialist dementia care and respite care.

Within the home you'll find a number of inviting lounges and dining rooms as well as other welcoming communal areas. The home also benefits from a café which is the perfect place to sit and socialise with friends and family over coffee, tea and other refreshments.

Mountbatten Lodge's beautiful landscaped garden includes a number of seating areas situated along a meandering walk way. The perfect place to relax during the warmer months.

My mother has been at Mountbatten Lodge for several years now and is very happy there. She is well looked after and when her health allows she loves to join in with the activities. She has great relationships with the carers and I am very confident that when I cannot be there for her she is given good
quality care and that is all I can ask for. My mother's room is in need of some refurbishment but due to the nature of mum's condition it has been decided that it would not be in her best interests to move her to carry out the work, this would be my only concern about the home and I have no doubt this will be rectified before anyone takes over mums room when she is no longer there.

Great place to be if you want to visit anyone, it has very friendly staff and the manager who can't do enough to help you have an enjoyable time with the people you want to spend time with. Excellent facilities and care, I would recommend this home to anyone who wants to have their family member stay
in a happy environment and be well looked after.

We moved our family member into Mountbatten Lodge in August 2023. The care that he was given there was exemplary and as a family, we all felt supported and looked after by the wonderful team.
We knew on our first visit that this was where we wanted him to be looked after. The team were attentive and
very very caring. They work incredibly hard to care for individual needs and give every resident a unique experience. They go out of their way to understand the people they care for and provide them with a wonderful package.
When we lost our family member the home continued to support us through what was an incredibly difficult time and we will be eternally grateful for their kindness and love. This team of carers, led by an amazing manager, are truly special and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them and use them again to care for someone I love. I'd move in there too if I could!

Mother has moved in only a month or two ago, but all staff have helped her to settle in and have been very attentive and accommodating. A couple of health issues have been dealt with effectively and with compassion. What could have been a nightmare has been a smooth transition for Mother and she feels
content. Staff although busy have always made time to help with patience and kindness. Happy, family atmosphere. Thank you very much.

My mother-in-law was apprehensive about going into a care home, even though it was for respite. She suffers from Alzheimer’s, and her behaviours changed quite dramatically in the first few days. The patience, kindness and respect shown towards her and her deteriorating condition were fantastic. The
activities that are put on for the residents to keep them mentally and socially active are well-planned and thought-through. The care home staff also kept in regular contact with us to inform us of any developments in her condition and health.
She doesn’t use a walking frame and is relatively mobile, so staff were able to take her across the road for a wander around the shops too.
Whenever we or other family members visited my mother-in-law, the staff were friendly, helpful and attentive. They are always cheerful and amazingly attentive to the residents.
The manager went above and beyond her duty of care to ensure that her stay was as comfortable and pleasant as possible.

My Mum has been at the care home for two months now and during her time here has settled in really well. The staff are unfailingly helpful, considerate of her needs and so friendly. After viewing twelve care homes initially I am so pleased we chose the right home for Mum.

Dad has been in the care home since December 2022 and has been consistently cared for with dignity and kindness. All the managers are helpful and really friendly, as are the carers. We are really happy he's in Mountbatten Lodge and wouldn't wish for him to be anywhere else.

My father became a resident in November 2022 after being unable to care for himself due to frequent falls and two TIA's. The care has been exceptional from carers, cleaners, cooks and management. Nothing is ever too much trouble and the staff go out of their way to try and accommodate residents requirements.

The quality of care in Mountbatten Lodge is impeccable. The home offers excellent dementia care and has gone the extra mile in ensuring that Mum receives the personalised care she needs. They have also supported me and my family to learn about Dementia and what we can do to help. The staff are gentle,
compassionate, and empathetic, making everyone feel valued and respected. The activities staff offer a busy entertainment programme; My mum really loves the professional singer, as it gives her a chance to show off her dance moves. The food served is excellent - catering to residents' dietary restrictions and preferences.
In short, the manager and her team have been outstanding in providing top-notch care, comfort, and support to my mum. The facilities are cosy and clean, and the ambience is peaceful and tranquil. We feel so relieved knowing that our mum is in good hands - we couldn't ask for a better place.

My mother has been a resident at Mountbatten Lodge for more than a year. She loves the place and says it really feels like home. The facilities are very good and clean. The staff are really excellent and friendly and it seems like nothing is too much trouble for them. There are quite a few communal
activities organised and some outings for things like bingo happen or even just a walk to the very nearby Tescos. The grounds are well maintained with a purpose built BBQ and seating around. Considering it is so close to a main road it is a very peaceful place to live. The food is well prepared and is varied.

I found the staff to be very friendly and informative, keeping me updated on my mum. There's always a cup of tea on offer and they go above and beyond to ensure we have a nice visit when we come to see Mum.

Everyone at the care home is very kind, caring, polite and respectful with Mum and with us visitors too when we come to see her. I have a dog that everyone makes welcome and I think all the residents and staff enjoy seeing her too.

My dad was accepted by Mountbatten Lodge in February 2023. He had been in hospital for a while and was pretty frail. His health has been deteriorating rapidly over the last 6 months and the staff have all been amazing with his care. He has been particularly challenging with staff and family, yet they
know exactly how to cope with him and keep smiling. They have been very quick to deal with necessary health issues that have occurred and treatments put in place quickly. I have been informed of every doctor's visit and any changes that need making, to make sure that I am in agreement. I can't fault this care home in any sense. High standards of cleanliness, care and communication.

Very good. My mother is looked after very well. The carers are very busy taking care of everyone. Also doing many activities with the residents to make life more enjoyable for them. Have peace of mind now knowing how much they are well looked after. All seems to run smoothly. Lovely garden for them

The staff are very friendly and attentive and interact with the residents personally and get to know them by doing things like singing dancing and arts with them. My great-grandmother is very happy. The surrounding area is very nice a very warm place overall. The place looks very nice and well-decorated

Our Mum is very happy at Mountbatten Lodge, all the staff go above and beyond ensuring she is safe and well cared for, which gives my family peace of mind. If there are any issues we are notified by a phone call, happily these are few and far between. Recently they asked all the residents if they had
one wish what would it be, Mum is a massive Elvis fan and her wish was to go to Gracelands which of course was impossible but they arranged for an Elvis impersonator to come along to the care home to perform, seeing mums face light up and singing along to the songs made it all worthwhile. The care staff are very attentive. On occasions, if the carers have time they will take Mum in her wheelchair over to the supermarket, Mum loves this as it makes her feel like she has a purpose and a bit of normality in the outside world. If you are looking for an excellent care home as Elvis would say 'you've come to the right place' well done all of you.

I have worked at Quantum Care since 2014, starting as a care worker and progressing to deputy home manager. I have gained my teaching qualification which allows me to teach the following in-house; Manual Handling, Dementia, Medication, Health and Safety, Fire Safety, Emergency Aid, Mental Capacity, Deprivation of Liberty, Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults and Food Safety & Nutrition. I have my Level 2 qualification in Seated Exercise and my Level 3 in Health and Social Care. I am currently working towards my Level 5 Qualification. 


My biggest passion in life is being able to give someone the best quality care and teaching and supporting my team to do the same. I have been in the care industry for many years and my passion is as strong as it was when I was 17.
