Rated 'Outstanding' by the Care Quality Commission (December 2018), Prince Michael of Kent Court is a purpose-built facility located cloase to the town centre in Watford.

The Home has assistive technology to help engage and entertain residents. A specialist reminiscence garden and lighting is also available to reduce “sundowning,” promoting calmness and providing reassurance.

The Home is divided into five ‘family style’ house group areas, each with their own team of care staff. Each house group has its own comfortable dining room and communal lounge.

The level of care each person receives will depend on their individual needs. This is continuously monitored and reviewed to ensure each person receives the right level of care. Please contact the Home for further information.

My mother moved into the home in October 2015 and is settling in well. It's a huge wrench after over 60 years of married life to lose your husband and then need to move to residential care. The team are fantastic. The home manager is always warm and friendly and does her utmost to ensure that the residents'
needs come first. Natural teething problems have been resolved readily. Almost without exception mum has found all the staff helpful, kind and friendly.


Whenever I visit, morning, afternoon or evening, there always seems to be some social event going on for the residents to join in. Mum has also been out for lunch and shopping trips are organised too. Input from outside groups like choirs and games organisers helps to offer the residents a varied entertainment program.


The home itself and the surroundings are beautifully maintained and kept very clean.


Overall I am very impressed with the level of care provided.

A relatively modern, clean, very well-maintained home. The staff - from the Home Manager to the individual Carers, the Catering Manager, the lady who deals with the laundry and even the handyman - are all, without exception, friendly, courteous and co-operative, not only to my Wife as a resident, but
also to me as her Husband, and my family and friends who visit my Wife. The support that is given to my Wife is wonderfully caring in the extreme (from her daily routines and her meals, but also to just 'popping in' to see her in her room from time to time to check she is OK and happy), relaxed, friendly - almost loving! - and this care creates a highly significant degree of confidence for me, and my family and friends, that my wife is being very well looked after.
