We are very proud of our staff whose passion for looking after the elderly has shone throughout these difficult and unprecedented times. Quantum Care is known for delivering high standards of care for over 27 years, in the 25 care homes that it manages. It is therefore regrettable, that on this occasion, we have not maintained this quality of care during your father’s stay and wish to genuinely apologise for the upset and inconvenience this has caused your family.
Quantum Care take complaints seriously. Your complaint has been investigated under our own Complaints Procedure and has been dealt with by the Regional Manager for this home. We would like to assure you that the lessons learned will be used to make significant improvements in the training of staff at this home to prevent similar occurrences in the future.

Thank you for this second review which relates to the same member of your family, covering the same period of stay at this home.
Quantum Care has investigated your concerns relating to your relative’s care and can advise that some, but not all, of the issues raised, were actioned by the home. With regard to his health; phone discussions and several visits to the home were received from the GP, as well as the paramedics and the frailty nurse who ensured that his health was regularly monitored, and that any care advice provided and referrals made were duly carried out by the care staff during his stay.
Quantum Care is well known throughout all its homes for the genuine, high quality of care that it provides to all its residents. However, on this occasion, it does appear that this standard of care was not provided on a consistent basis during your relative’s stay, which is truly regrettable. We apologise wholeheartedly to all concerned for any upset and inconvenience caused as a result of this.
Quantum Care does not believe in complacency and further training has already been provided to the care staff at this home, which will continue on a regular basis, to improve the provision of care going forward. A new, experienced Home Manager is now in position at this home.

The Home Manager runs all aspects of the home, taking care of the business side of things and ensuring their home provides a high standard of care. The Deputy Home Manager shares responsibility with the Home Manager for running the home. Deputy managers will each bring their own skill set to the home, some offering more assistance with the business side of things while others focus largely on care. Experienced and either holding or working towards their qualifications, Deputy Home Managers are capable and driven to provide the best of everything for their residents.

Keeping the team of Housekeepers running as it should is the Housekeeping Manager. Supervising and organising their teams is just part of it as these Managers work alongside them to keep the home clean and inviting. The comfort of residents is the most important thing to our Housekeeping Managers which is why they work so hard to create an environment in which residents can’t help but feel at home. Multi-tasking and communication skills are some of the most important of the Housekeeping Manager’s qualities as they and their team create a home where resident’s dignity is never compromised and independence is always encouraged. Our Housekeeping Managers ensure that all areas of our home are safe, clean, well maintained and presented in a way to create a warm and homely environment. They have an important role in maintaining our infection, prevention and control standards to make sure our residents stay well.
Job Title: Chef Manager
The Chef Manager organises every aspect of the catering operation and provides a safe, nutritious, quality service to our residents using freshly produced food. With a hands-on role, leading a team, they provide a quality catering service and help create a warm and friendly atmosphere for our residents. Working with our residents they help to create menus to meet their needs and suit their tastes.
