Queensway offers first-class care for residents. Located in Hemel Hempstead, Queensway is located near to major shopping centres and transport hubs.

The home also benefits from substantial grounds which are often used for outdoor activities. Each one of the residents enjoys unique, personalised care, built around them and designed to make their stay with us as enjoyable and fulfilling as possible. They specialise in a wide pallet of care needs, specifically challenging cases such as Dementia/ Alzheimer’s and disability.

My mum is being well looked after. The staff are very kind and helpful. They've made it easy for me to keep in contact with my mum with phone calls and window visits.

My Aunt stayed at Queensway house for just under a week for respite care, whilst her husband was in the hospital. The staff there were amazing and very helpful and arranged a video call for my aunt with myself and my uncle which went down well as he was reassured she was being looked after very well.
My aunt suffers from quite severe dementia, but she was treated with such dignity by the staff from the photos and videos I saw she was always smiling and looked really happy, the place itself looked spotless and really nice warm atmosphere. I want to single out the care home administrator and the person I dealt with admitting my Aunt, she couldn't have been more helpful and made the whole process very easy and smooth. My aunt received top-quality care whilst at Queensway much better than other homes I used before, so I would not hesitate to use Queensway in the future if I need to. My aunt looked immaculate with her hair always done really smart. Thank you so much.

I have been impressed with the way that the home has dealt with my mother, particularly in view of the Covid19 virus. It is a very difficult time for all, but the staff have been very helpful and understanding in all matters.

Some members of staff are professional and dedicated, however, others are poorly trained to carry out their duties. The standard of care has improved following the raising of concerns about my mother-in-law's care, but it should not have been necessary to raise these concerns. We would like to thank
those members of staff who have gone out of their way to provide good care.

My husband stayed for his first week respite. He has Alzheimer's and was quite upset but all the staff were brilliant with him and after a day there he was giving them a hug. Since giving a review a few weeks after my husband was admitted I have had time to view the home in action. I am hugely impressed with the warmth and care given by the staff and the real family atmosphere. Activities are now very much in evidence and generally there's a happiness about the place. I
know only too well that my husband's behaviour can be challenging, but it gives me great peace of mind to see him connect with his carers and respond to their patience and encouragement.
