Overall Experience

We have been so lucky to have found Villa Scalabrini for our beloved mum who was there for the last two years of her life. We would not have wanted her to be anywhere else before we so sadly lost her. She was loved and cared for there as if she was amongst family. All her carers and all the staff put

so much effort not only to ensure she was cared for physically but equally as important, emotionally and they always made her feel as if she mattered, assigning carers to engage with her and talk about her life, reinforcing happy memories of her life. She was treated with respect and kindness and they were also fun and happy and the atmosphere was always welcoming when we visited. I know my mum bless her could be demanding at times, but their patience and kindness never wavered. I always felt that the way they treated their residents including my mum was to make sure that no matter what life they have had, they wanted to make this time the best they could for them.

Overall Experience

My Mother has been a Resident at Villa Scalabrini for over 2 years.
The staff are extremely kind and treat my Mother with care, compassion, dignity and respect and the Residents are all looked after by kind and caring staff. The level of care and support is second to none and I feel happy that my

Mother is in a safe and secure environment. The dedication to the welfare and safekeeping of the Residents is such that they were/are living-in to keep them safe and isolated from the recent COVID-19 Pandemic. I would highly recommend Villa Scalabrini to anyone who wishes elder members of their family or friends to be looked after with the highest standards available in residential care.

Overall Experience

My father was cared for at the Villa Scalabrini from July 2016 until the time of his passing at the beginning of this month almost reaching his 100th Birthday. He was very happy there and had a great quality of life with them. He was loved by staff and residents alike, and I was always kept informed

whether it was day-to-day activities, doctor appointments or any concerns. Villa Scalabrini is an exceptional Care Home with dedicated staff who treat all their residents with love, care and respect and as one of their own family.

Overall Experience

Both my grandparents who are living with dementia moved into Villa Scalabrini recently, which was a very difficult and emotional time for them and us as a family. With the support from the staff, this was made easier, any concerns, queries or worries we had were answered and we have been given endless

amounts of support and reassurance. I honestly can't believe the difference in my grandparents quality of life since moving into Villa Scalabrini, it is amazing to see them both so happy again, they look the best they have done in a long time. The visiting room that has been created for COVID-19 is fantastic, although it's not how anyone wants to spend time with a loved one, to be able to still go to visit and chat brings great comfort. All of the staff appear friendly, very caring and engage will with my grandparents as well as ensuring that all of their individual needs are met. My grandparents at times believe they are back in Italy, that says it all! Thank You VS!

Overall Experience

Villa Scalabrini has and is looking after my Mum extremely well and I trust the staff and management implicitly. They have demonstrated their exceptional commitment to their residents through the recent Covid-19 lockdown and have been successful in managing zero cases of Covid-19 throughout the pandemic

so far. This has been achieved by implementing safety measures regarding the movement of residents, staff and relatives. They did not wait to implement their safeguarding measures but exercised their initiatives early to protect all. They even controlled the entry of health professionals who posed risk. Staff agreed to live in the home for a period of 3 months which required them to forego their family freedoms in the interests of keeping the virus out of the home. The selflessness of management and staff and their initiative to do the right thing to minimise risk was fantastic and the home is to be congratulated for exemplary care. The residents are healthy and well cared for in all respects.

Overall Experience

I am very pleased with this wonderful care home. My mother has been here 2 years and has settled very well and gained weight with the lovely food. She was very underweight when she was at the previous care home. They have handled this pandemic very well and taken precautions from the beginning, and

as a result, have been Covid-free. The staff go above and beyond. They are like one big family.

Overall Experience

A care home full of love, professionalism and compassion. I genuinely cannot recommend Villa Scalabrini enough. They could not do enough for my father (and us) especially in his final days. The care he received was outstanding. Every single member of staff, from management to the cleaners genuinely

care about their residents and were always present and involved. Residents are seen as 'one of the family' and are cared for in such a way that nothing is too much for them. My brother and I were always kept informed about every aspect of my father's care and the home were very proactive in ensuring that he received all of the care he needed from wider health care professionals and services. The home itself is always spotless and their beautiful grounds are well maintained. The food is top class and quality Italian products are used. God bless this home and its staff. Thank goodness care homes such as this still exist. There are not enough words to say Thank you!

Overall Experience

The Villa Scalabrini is an amazing place. The cleanliness and hygiene is impeccable. The grounds are beautiful and the food is very good. The care and kindness given to residents by all the staff, carers and management is excellent. Nothing is too much trouble for them. We were always kept informed

of how things were with my mother. We couldn't fault anything and it gave us such peace of mind to know she was being well cared for.

I was extremely impressed with the care facilities at Villa Scalabrini today. The staff were in abundance and were very on hand. They were also very helpful and friendly. The care home was so clean that is shone like a new pin. I visited my friend in the communal tv area which was also very comfortable.

Overall Experience

My aunt was a resident in the Villa from May 2015 until she passed away in August. Her treatment was excellent. All the staff without exception were very caring. They always had a smile and words of welcome and encouragement. My aunt felt very much at home and enjoyed the facilities and the activities

offered by the Villa until April of this year when she suffered a severe stroke. Her personality changed and her behaviour could be trying but everyone continued to treat her with the greatest care, love and respect. As a regular visitor, I always felt at home and welcome. The accommodation was simple but clean, light and airy. Going there was like entering a family environment.

Overall Experience

My mother has been a resident at Villa Scalabrini since just before Christmas. I live abroad but every time I visit, I get the same feeling of coming home, of love and friendship, care and warmth.
It is clear that all the staff genuinely care for the residents. They are looked after wonderfully. My

mother is always immaculately dressed and turned out and the attention to detail in all they do is wonderful.
The parties, music and activities that are organised add to the happiness of the residents and the atmosphere is always welcoming.
I really enjoyed sitting outside when the sunshine finally showed itself, the patio with all its flowers and plants is an added bonus.

Overall Experience

This is an acknowledgement of the outstanding care and support my father received in his final days at Villa Scalabrini. I also wish to document the superb end of life care provided by Villa Scalabrini. My father died on 10th March 2018. I chose to stay close to him day and night. Without the staff’s

compassion, empathy, understanding and support, I would not have been able to get through the week as the whole process was truly awful. Dad was treated with great dignity and respect. Daily, the staff washed and changed him, shaved him and talked to him as they normally would have done. The Management Team visited daily to ensure that all our needs were catered for. When the doctor gave us the option of hospitalising Dad for end of life, it was only right and fitting that he should remain in his ‘home’ where he was loved and cared for in a very personal way. Apart from caring for Dad, the staff ensured that our needs were met too. We cannot thank them enough.
