Victoria House is set in the seaside town of Ryde in the Isle of Wight and offers long and short term residential care as well as day care.

There is a large communal lounge and a quiet lounge, a lovely landscaped garden with a summer house as well as a courtyard.

The quality of care is excellent. Staff provide an exceptional service; they are very professional and compassionate. The Home is extremely well managed. The staff and management have created a real "home from home" feeling and residents are happy. Food is of a high quality. I would not hesitate in
recommending this Home to anyone who is seeking care provision.

I first visited Victoria House when looking for a place for my Mum and immediately thought that it felt very homely. I was made welcome by all the staff I met and was shown all the rooms available by the manageress. Mum was quickly assessed in the hospital and moved as soon as she was well enough. Nothing
was too much trouble at the home and when it came to moving her to a bigger room, as her needs changed, this was achieved without fuss. Mum was able to have some of her own furniture in the room with many of her other belongings. She is very dependant on the staff and has her own key, Staff member spend a lot of time with her each day. She has recently had to visit the hospital for cataract surgery and her key worker went with her in the home's vehicle. All the staff are friendly and willing to help. I can't fault the care Mum receives and she agrees. Any problems that arise are quickly resolved and if necessary, staff will phone me to discuss things. I would recommend this home.

The staff at Victoria House are always friendly and cheerful, my Mother enjoys their attention, and her quality of life has improved due to the care she receives there.
Her individual needs are catered for and she is encouraged to voice her opinions and preferences.
She likes to enjoy the garden
and join in the activities and appreciates the good home cooked food.
Our family would feel able to voice concerns if we have any, and are assured Mum is well cared for.

Both my mother (3.5 years) and my mother-in-law (6 years) spent many years here before they passed away. The care received was excellent. The staff and management are caring and very efficient, and I have no hesitation in highly recommending it to anyone looking for a care home. I just hope there is
a room for me should I need it in the future.
