Breton Court is set in an idyllic residential location in the village of St Michaels, just minutes away from the beautiful town of Tenterden.

A truly dedicated team provide residential care, day care and respite care for residents, with twin rooms for couples or friends wishing to share. Breton Court is small enough to offer a truly homely atmosphere and believe wholeheartedly in the motto 'your caring home from home'.

Each resident has a personal key worker, who ensures that all regulatory and personal goals are met. Each resident also has a personalised care plan, detailing all needs and likes/dislikes.

Each resident is treated as part of an extended family and professionals take the time to get to know the resident, their life story, and their families/visitors.

There are many varied activities at the home, with outings being a regular occurrence, in the minibus. The home also has delightful landscaped gardens including a wonderful pond with its own goose.

Meals are cooked fresh throughout the day by fully trained chefs, special diets are catered for and personal favourites are encouraged.

The care and welcoming family atmosphere at Breton Court is something we have never come across before.
The staff are wonderful and the 'icing on the cake' - excuse the pun, is the wonderful chef.
The tempting food has fully restored my mother, so much so, she is wanting to return home.
It is a very
special place.

During our experience of having a relative in this care home, the visiting family noticed a deterioration in the overall standard of how the home has been run. The general condition of the property, facilities, and activities relative to other homes visited is poor. Whilst the general care and support
given to our relative has been satisfactory, the home has clearly had staffing issues and many of the staff obviously had very limited experience. It also became evident during my parent's time there that there was a lack of leadership in evidence and at times, organisation at the home seemed chaotic. The garden has been semi overgrown for the last year so it is difficult to access for residents, the general condition of the ageing property is poor (holes in ceilings) and the rooms small. In my relative's case, there was no en-suite toilet/shower. In May 2017 the CQC report highlighted some of these deficiencies but the overall conclusion that the home "Requires Improvement" is very apt.

The care given to our aunt has been excellent. Living a distance away has been difficult for us but we have been supported in the knowledge that our aunt was in safe hands and cared for in such a lovely home environment. Breton Court is like one large family and nothing is ever too much trouble.

Excellent caring home from home. Our aunt was extremely well cared for during her 3 1/2 years here. Staff are very kind and she was very comfortable. Sadly she recently passed away here but her passing could not have been more dignified, peaceful and comfortable.

Breton Court is an excellent care home. This is my second stay here. The staff are all helpful and kind. The meals are excellent. A very varied choice of meals and cooked to perfection. The rooms are beautifully furnished.
