If your loved one needs 24 hr care, look no further than Fairways Residential Home. I can't speak highly enough of the care and dedication of Fairways staff. All adhere to professional policies regarding the daily running of the home. My mother stayed there 6yrs 3 months. End of life care was provided.
Fairways have a cheerful and homely atmosphere for all the residents. All this gives peace of mind to the relatives. Excellent. The staff really are "My Angels on Earth".

My mother passed away in August after living there for 3 years. The care she needed in the last year as she couldn't walk anymore was brilliant. The last month of her life was spent in bed and the care and attention she got was very good. The day Mum died, what the staff did for our support and care
for her was far and above our expectations.

Cleanliness is satisfactory - bathroom etc good but cleaning of room could be more thorough.
Food - more variety, homemade soups, more fish meals.
More frequent outings would be nice.
I am generally happy here and am grateful for the care and help I receive, sometimes I get frustrated because I would
like more variety with the food as I love fish and seafood.

Fairways is a true 'home from home' with its competent staff happily doing the complete variety of tasks as their duty rota allows. The home provides all the basic care needed for its residents who can choose the amount of time they wish to spend in three differing seating areas. There is a pleasing
garden surrounding the house and the views, either of the sea, or over not one, but two, golf courses with the RHD Railway, a field and a distant road dominating the view to the rear. As a resident said she could not believe that the view came 'free'!


Some residents may display a little awkwardness allied to their condition and such a thing is kindly, pleasantly and patiently resolved.


A variety of activities and outings for those wishing to take part is arranged with the highlight being the annual Garden Party where one drummer resident accompanies the Morris Dancing musicians.
The staff greet visitors-often with a cup of tea or coffee-and their cheeriness is a good all-round tonic.

Alison brings over 23 years of experience in the social care sector, with a specialised focus on elderly care. As the Manager of Fairways Care Home, Alison is known for a compassionate leadership style, underpinned by a deep commitment to providing high-quality, person-centred care.

With an NVQ Level 4 and a background in care starting as a carer in 1991, Alison has much experience in the social care sector combining clinical expertise with strong operational management skills.

Alison is dedicated to advancing the future of care by fostering an environment of empathy and understanding, advocating for dignified, person-centred care that supports the well-being of both residents and the care team.
