I have been so impressed with the patience, care and compassion shown by all the staff - to my father, to me and to all the other residents. They may have 50 or more to look after, but it feels that they take time to know and care for each one. Dealing with some of the characteristics of dementia is
tough, demanding work and this Hartley team deal with them all - with a gentle strength and a warm heart. Most important of all, I feel that my father is in the best possible place to live out his days with dignity and contentment. Thank you. All of you.

My mother has now been a resident at Hartley House for the past 7 years and although the management has changed, the high standard of care has not. The home is a lovely clean, open and well-lit accommodation and I've found the staff to be very helpful and respectful. I fully trust them with the care
and well-being of my mother. The home keeps my sister/myself informed of any matters of our mother's care that we need to be aware of or consulted on. I have no hesitation in recommending Hartley House to other service users and their relatives.

My father was in your care for 2 and a half years, I was a regular visitor coming in most days to visit. All the time I was there I was very well looked after. Chatting to the staff and getting up to date reports on how my father was, phone calls all the time's he had a fall. The staff were very caring
and helpful. In every way possible they were all very good.

My father had been receiving 24 hour 1:1 care in his own home for 2 and a half years until he moved in February 2021 to Hartley House. I was very worried about the move. My father demonstrated some very challenging behaviours in those early weeks, being in the late stages of Alzheimer's. The manager
was brilliant. She was extremely empathetic and caring. She gave us as a family a lot of support, helping us all to adjust. She went above and beyond, to ensure my father received the best medical intervention and nothing was too much trouble. On visits to the home, I always felt very welcomed.
The staff were extremely polite and caring and I witnessed many lovely interactions between them and the other residents as they went about their daily tasks. There was a lovely family feel to the home and a great atmosphere. In the last few weeks of my father's life, I felt able to lean on the team at Hartley House for support and guidance through what was an extremely painful time.

Hartley House cannot be recommended highly enough. The home leadership and the team are superb, consistently caring, sympathetic, resourceful, thoughtful response, cheerful, adaptive, communicative and accommodating. These are all words backed with the experience. Staff are well looked after and it
shows in the quality of care they offer residents and their longevity in post. We are extremely pleased to have made the choice of Hartley House for our ageing mother.

Staff are wonderful, have worked through pandemic, most staff became infected, but were back to work when possible, even though they were still suffering. Our Mum (96yrs old) looks clean, well dressed and seems very happy.

My family and I had to find a care home for Dad during all the restrictions, so no visits in person were allowed. We researched six, and Hartley House came out on top - the manager absolutely helped us with why we chose Hartley Hosue - she's brilliant. Dad moved into Hartley House in November 2020,
and we are so pleased and hugely grateful to the amazing, wonderful, kind and patient carers who look after Dad so well. I've now had three visits in the "visiting pod", and I can see just how settled Dad is; he's being looked after and cared for so well. It's such a huge relief - we are so very pleased with Hartley House - it's a truly fantastic care home.

My mother has required long term Dementia care and has been a resident at Hartley House for many years. She has been very settled, happy and well cared for. The staff are very friendly and willing to help. The home is well managed and senior staff take time to get to know residents and their families
needs and wishes. I think over the years the home has made continuous improvements in its practice and buildings and the comfortable bright modern environment is very welcoming whilst remaining comfortable. I would have no hesitation in recommending Hartley House and have done so.

A quiet, peacefully located residential home in the countryside.
The staff are incredibly accommodating (obviously within reason) despite these frightening and unprecedented times.
I know my loved one is looked after very well, and even during the height of the pandemic, I knew this was a very safe
place of care for the service users.
The staff, under the direction of the manager, went over and beyond the call of duty to ensure the home was Covid-19 free.
I, as a visitor, feel welcomed and also protected from possible infection. Hartley House is clean, the number of users in the home is manageable, and the residents, are treated with dignity and respect. I have witnessed this when I observe the staff interact with my loved one and the treatment of other residents in the home.
Overall, I feel content in the knowledge that my loved one is being looked after very well, that he is safe, comfortable and content.

My mum is now 93, with advanced dementia, she was living alone with visits from carers 2 to 3 times a day. She now has made friends, albeit I am not sure how well they understand each other, but she is much happier, and they were getting a lot of entertainment until lockdown. Hopefully, this will be
re-established as soon as it can, and she will continue to enjoy the company and stimulation very soon. The staff are lovely and always seem to have time for the residents.

The care and support the residents receive are wonderful. The home is bright and very welcoming. It has good communication with the family, regularly updating information and procedures. The manager, is passionate about her role in providing a caring, friendly and entertaining home for the residents.
A lovely care home, which I would highly recommend.

Went into Hartley House last September and has now settled in well with the help of the staff. Has enjoyed the nursery school children going in and also being taken to the local Primary School for lunch occasionally, (which of course ceased at the moment). Although they are in lockdown, they are trying
their best to keep them amused. Fish and chip party was enjoyed by all the residents. We like the fact you can normally visit any time without making an appointment and are always made welcome.

Simon's dedication to excellence in care has been recognised with prestigious awards, including being twice awarded National Care Manager of the Year by the Great British Care Awards.
