My stepfather is always well-groomed and well-presented no matter when we call. His room is clean and well-presented. Nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff. From observation, they very much care for their residents. Lovely atmosphere all-round. Thank you High Pines (Herne) Care Home.

My husband has been in High Pines (Herne) Care Home for ten months now. He has, in my opinion, been very well cared for all this time. Most importantly, he is very happy there. He is always well-presented. His room is airy and clean. The staff are very attentive and very kind. Thank you High Pines,
you are all so lovely.

Staff are really patient and hard working. My grandad seems happy, he's clean and spoken to so respectfully even though they must be tired.
Thank you so much.

My father has been in High Pines Care Home since August 2021. He settled very quickly and all the staff were friendly and professional. He loves the food and the buildings are always clean and tidy.

I cannot express strongly enough how grateful my family is to all the staff at High Pines (Herne). My father has been resident for 3 years, and my mother was cared for there March to May 2020 when she died in hospital. Throughout this difficult time for our family, made more difficult by Covid-19, the
staff have been extraordinarily kind, caring and so hard working. Covid has been a huge challenge for them all, particularly Christmas 2020 when they had significant losses at the home, yet despite everything, they continue to give excellent care to our loved ones. We are truly blessed.

My brother passed away in High Pines Residential Home on the 11th January this year after being a resident there for 3 1/2 years.

The owner of the home who acts as if you are his best friend when he sees you there didn't even bother with a phone call.

No one from the home attended the funeral.

When I returned home from the funeral there were 2 missed calls. I phoned them expecting them to apologise and with some excuse for not attending but no. It was to tell me the death certificate was there. I told them it was the funeral today and was told they didn't know. Even though I had phoned up 2 days previously. Then I was told they were short staffed. Sorry.!!!!! After telling them it was disgusting and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. .Guess what? Today 5 weeks after he died we received a deepest sympathy card from the home. IT MEANT NOTHING. TO LITTLE. TO LATE.!!!!

Mum is very happy at High Pines. She has a lovely en-suite room with her own phone. She particularly likes the meals and is very comfortable with the routine and system. She likes getting out in the conservatory and the staff are very kind, friendly and interested in their work.

Mum has been in High Pines for five years. She has vascular dementia. Mum is very well cared for. She is always clean, well fed and if she is ill, the staff notice very early and get the doctor out quickly. The staff are very caring and loving. We could not ask for better care. We would recommend this
home to anybody. The staff make it a home from home.
