Rosewood Care Home in Dartford and can provide care for 40 dementia residents.

Decorated to a high standard, the home and offers a homely feel, providing comfort and security. A large dining room area has an open aspect to the day room which leads directly onto a patio and flower garden where residents, family and friends can enjoy the quality time together.

The majority of the single bedrooms have en-suite facilities, while all rooms are equipped with nurse call points and wash hand basins. There are also double bedded rooms which offer shared accommodation if preferred.

The home is conveniently situated close to Bluewater Shopping Centre and is served well by local bus routes. The mainline train station, Greenhithe, is close by and there is also easy access by car via the A2.

The care home was very caring and tried to keep dad's dignity at all times m was always attentive to his needs especially at the end. They cared for my dad as if he was one of their own, also they were very kind to myself and my husband and brother. The only thing is they have had a change of some staff
and unfortunately, some of the atmosphere has gone and there doesn't seem to be much motivation for the residents. The food that I have seen as a visitor seemed nice and wholesome and a good variety. A few treats in the afternoon would not go a miss.

We have had some staff leave and new staff start in recent months. We have varying levels of need at Rosewood as such at times some staff decide that the dementia care industry is maybe not for them, however we have recruited some lovely staff who are experienced in Dementia care and as our reviews and latest CQC inspection are showing are very caring and treat all residents with dignity and respect.


We have 2 activity coordinators as such we have entertainment and activities on a daily basis every day, as Our activities board, newsletters and photographs evidence. All residents are supported to take part in activities but some decline and are much happier to sit and watch, this in itself being an activity at times.


We offer treats every day, we have cakes and sweets, crisps, chocolate and encourage families to let us know what "goodies" their loved ones like.
We have trips to the sweet shop and blue water and often enjoy ice creams of many varieties including the local MacDonald's that manage to cope with order of 40 mac-flurries.
Fish and chips from the local chippy is a regular treat. Our cooks provide home made cakes on a daily basis
We also have a pringle machine and sweet machine that residents have access to if they fancy a little treat at anytime, day or night.

Good working relationship with management and carers. Treat mum with the dignity she deserves. She has been a resident for 4 years in January 2017 and her decline with has been well managed by all.

Mum was admitted to Rosewood in January 2016. Severe dementia diagnosed she had not been looking after herself. She is happy well fed and has made lots of friends since being in the home. She is 99 years old and with the care she's getting will make 100 years old next year.
She has her own room with
her personal stuff, pictures, ornaments, television and cd player, but she prefers to be with everyone else and her newly made friends. She's happy.

Have found Rosewood welcoming and caring. All staff have very caring attitudes and react well when things become difficult. The activities are also organised well and both activities organisers make a great deal of effort. Also very happy with security and safety of residents.
