The Laleham is a residential home registered to provide care for older people.  The Home has breathtaking panoramic sea front, pier and coastal views.  The period properties are sitting on Herne Bay's promenade, boasting on its door step the Waltop Gardens and Herne Bay pier.  The Laleham is located on the Central Parade which is regarded as a desirable road in Herne Bay, Kent that runs along the sea front and a short stroll from the town centre which is well served by local amenities and transport links.

The Laleham is managed by a registered manager and supported by qualified, experienced, and friendly staff. All staff is fully trained with all statutory training with in-depth dementia training, many holding N.V.Q. Level II certificates. Staff are highly motivated and consistently go the extra mile in assisting the residents to live life to the full potential.

The home does treat the resident with respect. The fabric of the home could be improved with a more modern and updated feel. Making better use of the garden and garden room. Residents need daylight/sunlight (vitamin D) the garden could be made more attractive and residents should have access outside
if they want it. Generally very happy.

Overall, the standard of care is good. Mum is very happy here and feels safe and secure which is very important to me. However, there are times when there do not seem to be enough carers, only, this appears to be mainly at the weekends. Mum does find some of the other residents can be disruptive which
can be stressful for her.

The overall care at the Laleham is excellent and the location is wonderful. My mother-in-law is content there and is very happy that we chose Laleham for her. The attention shown to the residents by the staff is superb and relatives are always made to feel welcome.

At first found it daunting, since then found the home very comfortable. Staff are very friendly and the food here is excellent. The staff make you feel very happy and safe. The staff always make my friend happy, they treat me as though I am a resident here. I am always offered tea/coffee when I visit.

My sister was resident at The Laleham for almost two years. During this time she was always happy with her care and surroundings. The staff were always willing and helpful at all times. My sister had no problems that went unsolved. Medical treatment, when necessary was competent and sensitive to her
needs. Her room was just to her liking, it was warm and comfortable.
During visits she talked about the pleasant outlook from the front lounge overlooking the pier and seafront gardens.
I would like to thank the staff for their care and attention.

Laleham is in a lovely central location on the sea front overlooking the promenade and pier. There is always a warm, welcoming and comfortable atmosphere about the home.
Carers and the manager are lovely with residents, patient, kind and treating them with respect. There is also an excellent level
of openness and honesty from all staff with relatives.
It was a good move for mum and the family all know that she is safe, being well looked after and cared for very well.

I have had contact with The Laleham over a number of years and always found the staff to be very helpful, caring and considerate. The staff are always welcoming when I arrive and always happy to consider any suggestions I make. They will always answer any questions I have. As I do not live locally it
is good to know that my relative is in a safe environment with trustworthy staff. It has always been my relative's first choice of care home.

The staff, all of them, are so kind, so friendly, so supportive. I am delighted my Mum is in their care. Her room is spacious and overlooks the sea front with lovely views. It is not the Hilton, but the care is 110% and that is by far the most important thing.
