Upton House is situated in secure gardens and grounds and provides dementia, Alzheimer's and EMI care. This large Georgian house is in the pretty village of Worth, on the outskirts of Sandwich.

Upton enjoys a reputation that is a reflection of the ability, dedication and professionalism of its well motivated and highly trained staff.

The home has been established and run by the same family for over 39 years and offers spacious accommodation for 20 people with dementia.

Activities available include Art Sessions, Gardening, Music Therapy and Reminiscence.

A very well run home with caring staff. The residents are supported and looked after very well and encouraged to join in activities.

I have visited Upton House on a weekly basis for the past 18 months and have always found the staff welcoming and all rooms fresh and clean. Staff are cheerful and interact well with residents, maintaining a professional approach. The food seems good quality and I have noted meals varied to suite residents
needs and preferences. Entertainment is television, films and games, by visiting musicians and an activity therapist. Whilst residents are never 'left alone' there is always the opportunity to find a 'quite corner'. As a relative I am encouraged to visit at any time of day and invited to regular special events such as birthdays and garden parties. Senior staff are well informed as to my sister in laws personal condition and are always approachable, informative and reassuring when the need arises. Whilst she cannot always convey her thoughts herself my sister in law usually seems relaxed and appears well cared for in a 'homely' rather than in an 'impersonal home' environment.

My aunt was very reluctant to move to residential care and had to be coerced to move. After a short period with support of staff she settled in and was very happy there. She built friendly relationships with the staff and other residents.
Her health needs were well looked after and the GP came and
hospital visits were supported. A lovely homely atmosphere.
