Located in the market town of Sittingbourne, Woodstock Residential Care Home provides person-centred residential and dementia care for up to 45 residents in single or companion rooms. All bedrooms are decorated to hotel standard, most of which have ensuite facilities.

The home comprises six different lounges and private seating areas, a large garden and patio area, a light and airy conservatory and an onsite hair salon. Highly qualified care teams and a dedicated recreation and well-being team ensure residents receive tailored care and a varied social lifestyle.

Woodstock prides themselves on a wonderfully varied programme of entertainment and activities tailored to the interests of each and every person. Whether this is arts and crafts, singing along with live entertainers, gardening and cooking, or just spending one-on-one time solving a crossword or enjoying a hand massage.

One of the first care providers to champion the importance of nutrition for the elderly and those with dementia, Nellsar employ a nutrition and wellness manager for their homes. Woodstock acknowledges that nutrition and hydration are an integral part of good health and well-being, delivering well-balanced, nutritious meals and snacks to residents every day.

Woodstock also benefits from a well-being team of fully-qualified holistic therapists who use nurturing touch, complementary therapies and relaxing treatments to improve residents’ quality of life and sense of well-being.

Woodstock also use bespoke dementia care technology ‘interactiveMe’ as a way of further personalising their residents’ care, and as a tool for connecting individuals with their family and care staff around them. This personalised-online profile offers a wonderful tool for reminiscence too.

My mum has been in Woodstock since December 2016. She seems to have settled in well. She is a lot calmer and I feel she is safe so I don't have to worry. The staff are friendly and look after the residents well.
It is a very bright and spacious home and has many activities for residents to join in.

My mother has been a resident of Woodstock for 17 months. She has most of her faculties and can to an extent look after herself. We (as a family) are and always have been very satisfied with my mother's care.
The manager and all the staff are very kind, caring and understanding. The home environment
is bright, cheerful and aimed at residents stimulation.

The home was very welcoming on first contact. When we visited it seemed well organised and managed. The room my mother was offered is lovely and the facilities are excellent. The staff are extremely pleasant and well trained.

The first impression of the Centre was lasting, bright, airing and welcoming. Staff always welcomed us like friends. They quickly settled my best friend, my mother-in-law in. She unfortunately only managed a month there before she was poorly and had to go to the hospital, but whilst in hospital she
kept asking to go home. She did not mean her house, but her new home at Woodstock where she had settled, made friends and got involved with all the activities they run on a daily basis. The home looks bright, light and airy, smells sweet and has beautiful gardens. It is a lovely place, and we looked at a number before settling on this one. A very good choice for us and mum.

My mother is extremely well looked after. The manager is helpful and always on call to answer any questions or worries we might have. The staff generally are helpful. Considering my mother has dementia all the staff are very patient with her. There are activities every day and a mini bus which takes
the residents out on lots of occasions. In the summer there is a bright and cheerful garden with seats and umbrellas to sit outside. Coffee mornings are held and entertainment provided which is excellent.

Collectively, our team has a wide range of exceptional skills that enable us to focus on the well-being of our residents, and deliver tailored, person-centred care.


Our Unit Managers make sure our residents’ clinical care and medical needs are expertly catered for, and our care staff work extremely hard to ensure that residents receive the best all-round care, in a way that is of their choosing. Ensuring our residents’ happiness and contentment is of the utmost importance, as is making sure they feel like Woodstock is their home.


Our Recreation and Well-Being Team provides a broad range of meaningful activities that allow residents to enjoy life; family and friends are very much a part of it all. We have a fabulous Catering Team that provides delicious meals for our residents – varied menus that cater for all tastes and medical needs.


Our Housekeeping department ensures our Home is kept clean, tidy and maintained to a high standard, providing a comfortable and attractive environment our residents can enjoy and feel proud to live in.

“Hello, my name is Marina Foreman. I am the Senior Recreation and Well-Being Lead at Woodstock Residential Care Home and I started in December 2016. I’m very proud of completing multiple training courses over the years, including Mental Health Level 3, the Care Certificate, Advanced Course Dementia, NVQ Level 2 in Principles of Dementia and Virtual Dementia Tour.


I passionately believe meaningful activities are the key to good mental health and well-being. I believe that everyone has a value and I want to support people to lead their best possible lives. My job role allows me to bring smiles to people's faces and seeing the residents having fun, laughing and enjoying themselves makes me happy. It gives me great pleasure to know that I’m making a difference. I am also very proud of getting Woodstock in the newspaper and the good feedback I receive from families about the Activities that we provide at the Home.


Over the years, Activities has become more widely recognised as a very important part of care for our residents’ well-being. Nellsar and the team I work with at Woodstock are very supportive with my ideas and helping me to achieve my goals and bring activities to the Home.”

"Hello, my name is Lynn Clemons and I am the Head Chef at Woodstock. I started as the Weekend Cook in October 2000, where I then had the opportunity to work full time as Cook. The training has improved since I started, as we now have the same training as all our care staff including Dementia, SOVA and Moving and Handling. This has given me a greater understanding of the people we care for; I enjoy my job making sure my residents eat well and enjoy their meals.


Woodstock is a very homely and happy place to work. The food we provide has massively improved and our residents have more choice – even the puréed meals have improved with the use moulds and piping techniques. The puréed meals we serve our residents on a soft food diet retain the attractive appearance of the regular meals we serve everyone else.


We have a very supportive team here at Woodstock – from the managers to the care staff – we work as a team. The best part about working with and leading my Kitchen staff is to making sure that our residents are happy with the catering services we provide. We also strive to ensure their families are happy that their mums, dads, and grandparents are content and well looked after.”

Job Title: Kitchen Assistant

“I currently work at Woodstock as a Kitchen Assistant, and I have been an assistant cook since June 2019. I previously worked as a Kitchen Assistant from 2007 to 2009 and I came back in June 2020 on a teatime duty.


I became a Care Assistant at Woodstock for a year after leaving my job in Sittingbourne Community School as a Catering Assistant, which I worked at for nearly eleven years. When the pandemic started my job role changed as I became a full time Kitchen Assistant and Assistant Cook. I even became employee of the month on the year of 2019!


I have been provided with lots of different training from the Home including Dementia Care, First Aid, Nutrition and Hydration and much more. I also achieved a certificate for the Nellsar Chef Masterclass in 2019.


I love and enjoy my job – especially in the cooking. Over the years working at Woodstock, I gained a lot of confidence. Working with such a friendly and supportive team has helped me grow throughout my journey and I feel I have become stronger in myself.”
