Located in a residential area of Banbury, Larkrise is a 60-bed capacity care home dedicated to person-centred methods. The home offers quality residential, nursing and respite care along with specialist care for older people diagnosed with dementia.

Priding itself on delicious, home-cooked meals, engaging activities and high standards of care, Larkrise's team goes above and beyond to help residents feel at home.     physiotherapy, occupational therapy, opticians, hairdressing,
    medications, toiletries, clothing, newspapers/magazines.
    During your stay, you may need to purchase additional goods
    and services. If they are able to provide such goods and
    services, they will tell you how much these goods and services
    will cost and they expect that you will pay for these goods and
    services at the time you request them.
    They can accompany loved ones to private appointments,
    however the fee attached to this is £21 per hour. Where private taxi
    services are used for transportation to appointments the cost should
    be paid for by yourself.

This is my first visit in the pod at Larkrise. This was good as not as much PPE needed and we could hear each other. I bought my guitar and was able to sing carols and Christian songs and my dad really seemed to enjoy himself.
It was excellent considering all the various protocols that have to be considered.

The level of professionalism and care shown is exceptional.
The manager tended to every question and assisted the family in the relocation and successful transfer of my father throughout. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble.
On arrival, we were greeted by several members of staff who all took time
to talk and explain various different processes within the home. They took away any uncertainty of leaving my father and made us feel he was going to a warm and caring environment.
Thanks to the manager for all her efforts and under such touch conditions with Covid 19, all the staff are amazing.

My mum, who has very limited mobility and dementia, moved to Larkrise from an assisted living centre, following a series of falls. This was in July, while they were even more locked down than most due to the pandemic but they liaised with the staff where Mum was living, and her social worker, to arrange
Covid tests and welcome her to her new accommodation.
They did a great job of looking after Mum and helping me to find ways to 'visit' without always having to make the three hour round trip - even recommending a phone she would be able to use and were always at the end of the phone if I had any queries.
If they weren't so far away, I'd have been more than happy for Mum to stay with them and can only hope that where she is going next is as good.
Thanks very much to the manager and all the team for all you've done for Mum!

From the minute we walked into Larkrise, we felt very welcome. Every single member of staff that work here goes above and beyond to help the residents and their families. They are very kind, caring, thoughtful and will go that extra mile to help you whenever they can. It’s so clean and tidy, and the
food is fantastic. My Dad enjoys all the actives and the company of all other residents and staff. I knew my dad would be very well looked after and very happy here. Thank you, myself and family appreciate the care that is given. We knew he would be safe and well looked after. I would highly recommend Larkrise care home.

My friend recently stayed at Larkrise. They had such a lovely holiday there. They attended all different activities each day, including going out to a Christmas party. They felt the food was outstanding and the team were so considerate, respectful and kind. I felt so reassured they were in safe hands.

My husband is always spoken to with respect and by his name. The staff make time for him to continue with what he is trying to say or do always showing kindness.

On the whole, the family are quite satisfied with the care our brother receives. He seems settled most of the time. His clothes are often messy and look as if they have been worn for several days. He has plenty of tops and bottoms so an improvement on this point would please us. Not enough information
is given to the family concerning the progression of his dementia and medication he is on. More time for outdoor activities in the fresh air would be good - staff and weather permitting.

Everyone is very caring and very friendly. The home is lovely with lots of activities and very clean. My mother never has been one to join in, but likes to be the centre of attention. The staff try hard to involve her and take great effort to get her to do something and keep me updated when things are
not right. I could not do what they do.

Visited a friend who is in care for a week to give his partner some respite. I liked the feel of the home, staff were friendly and helpful.
The room was spacious with very good amenities, my friend seemed very relaxed and also praised the staff. The only comment I have which probably applies to 90%
of care homes is the smell of urine. Nevertheless, I would recommend these premises.

I was up in Banbury and spent time with my father-in-law and left feeling relieved as the Larkrise care home is just a lovely place the staff, accommodation everything was just so lovely they are very well cared for there and they care which is very important. I only wish we had some nice care homes
in our area in Scotland. Keep up the good work thank you for all the hard work you guys do.

My dad is looked after so well. He is always shown respect, treated very well in a very friendly atmosphere.
The food is excellent and there are always food, drinks and snacks available at all times.
I would recommend the care home to anyone.

Hannah

Hannah Larner

Job Title: Home Manager

Joined: 2024

Hannah joined OSJCT as Home Manager for Larkrise in November 2024. She qualified as a Learning Disability Nurse in 2015 after completing her BSc in Learning Disability Nursing. Before this, Hannah began her career as a support worker specialising in learning disabilities.


Following graduation, she worked in Neurorehabilitation at Oxford Centre of Enablement in Oxford and later gained experience in various healthcare settings, including Accident and Emergency.


Hannah is passionate about Equality and Diversity, always ensuring that everyone feels included and valued in her care.


Outside of work, Hannah enjoys spending time with her family, including her two children and their cat. She is a military wife and loves challenging herself with activities such as completing 5k muddy obstacle courses


Jade

Jade Wise

Job Title: Activities Co-ordinator

Jade has been a career in the trust for three years and an Activities Co-ordinator for two years. Starting off working in a cake shop, she then took the step into working in the care sector in the community before joining OSJCT. She loves anything creative and doing baking and says, “Making people smile is the highlight of my day”.


Kevin

Kevin O'Reilly

Job Title: Maintenance Lead

Joined: 2020

Kevin has worked for the trust for 2.5 years. Prior to working for the trust, Kevin was self-employed in the building trade. Our residents and staff love him and he has built great relationships with them. Kevin likes not knowing what each day will bring, but can turn his hand to most maintenance tasks.


He has recently developed a passion for fitness, and has started going to the gym! Kevin used to train greyhounds and regularly attends meets and races.


Kefas (Josh)

Kefas (Josh) Jeshua

Job Title: Deputy Manager

Joined: 2024

Josh joined OSJCT as Deputy Manager in 2024. Originally from Zimbabwe, he began his career in quality control before transitioning into care. Drawing on his experience with people, customer complaints, and service improvement, Josh has applied these skills to his work in the care sector.


After arriving in the UK in 2004, Josh worked as a temp care worker in the NHS before becoming permanent. He pursued further education, completing a National Certificate in Health and Social Care (Level 3) with the Open University, which opened his eyes to the impact of therapeutic relationships in care. Motivated to make a difference, he earned a foundation degree in Social Care at Oxford Brookes University and later completed a nursing degree at the University of Hertfordshire, graduating in 2015.


Specialising in adult care since 2016, Josh is passionate about leadership and its role in improving care standards. He completed a postgraduate qualification, earning a Master’s in Management in Health and Social Care in 2021. Before joining OSJCT, Josh worked as a Lead Nurse in a private care home, further honing his skills in adult care and team leadership.


Outside of work, Josh is dedicated to voluntary work with the elderly and enjoys cooking, often preparing meals for charity organisations in Oxford. He is married with two children and values family life.


Cecelia

Cecelia Nunn

Job Title: Bursar

Joined: 2024

Cecelia joined OSJCT as Bursar in 2024. She brings a wealth of experience from her background in finance, which she applied in her previous role as Senior House Manager at Abbeyfield. There, Cecelia managed multiple properties across Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire, and Buckinghamshire, overseeing operations, staff, and the wellbeing of residents.


Cecelia is looking forward to putting her experience into practice at Larkrise, ensuring the smooth running of the home and supporting both residents and staff.


Outside of work, Cecelia is married and a mother to three children. She enjoys spending time with her family and values the balance between her professional and personal life.
