Located in a residential area of Banbury, Larkrise is a 60-bed capacity care home dedicated to person-centred methods. The home offers quality residential, nursing and respite care along with specialist care for older people diagnosed with dementia.

    services, they will tell you how much these goods and services
    will cost and they expect that you will pay for these goods and
    services at the time you request them.
    They can accompany loved ones to private appointments,
    however the fee attached to this is £21 per hour. Where private taxi
    services are used for transportation to appointments the cost should
    be paid for by yourself.

Very impressed with the home, staff very friendly and rooms kept very clean. The only fault is, some days are short staffed and my father has had to wait quite a long time to have his needs seen to.

My mother in law arrived in October from hospital. She has dementia and forgets everything but the staff are very kind, considerate and patient. She does not eat much but is always being offered food!! And the food is excellent. There are lots of activities and she joins in sometimes but her attention
span is very short. There is a doctor who visits and he has helped mother through a chest infection and a UTI. The staff are always very respectful and look after her personal care extremely well. There are never any unpleasant smells around. We are very happy with Larkrise as mother's care home.

I visited this home with an open for a placement for my father and to be honest I couldn't have been more impressed. The place itself is very well presented and caters for all residents needs. The staff were very friendly and well informed. Having also met some of the residents they were all very happy
and contented. The rooms were very well furnished and large, I can see my father very very happy there.

My wife has been in care homes since January 2013 and at Larkrise Care Home since July 2014 the care in the main has been good and the food is ok most of the time. Some problems with missing laundry. My wife is not able to join in many of the activities as she is very sleepy a lot of the time (Parkinson's)
there seems to be a lot with this so one to one or two to one with residents can be a minor problem when short staffed or temps. Nurses are very good.

I visit a friend from church who is now in Larkrise. I am always made welcome and at Christmas we were offered cups of tea and mince pies made by the home.
I was very impressed with the carers and their professionalism.

My visit to Larkrise Care Centre was very pleasurable, the staff were very friendly and made me and my husband feel very welcome, nothing was too much trouble for them and all the staff regardless of their role were helpful and kind not just to the residents who live there but all visitors as well.

We are more than pleased with everything the home has to offer. The staff are all wonderful both medical / non-medical. Nothing is too much trouble and my mother is always clean and happy.

My mother has been a resident since Larkrise opened in 2011. The environment is clean, warm and friendly, there are activities during the week days and articles around the unit to stimulate the dementia residents. Rooms are spacious en-suite and look out on lovely garden area. meals are well balanced
and drinks, snacks provided throughout the day and evening. Carers are very good and well meaning and look after my mum very well, sometimes could have more staff on duty, also activities at weekends.

My parents both took up residence at Lark Rise from the day it opened in 2011. Dad upstairs in intermediate care with his Parkinson's and mum downstairs with her vascular dementia. The staff treated them with great respect and took mum upstairs everyday to be with dad. Dad was a shy and quiet man and
didn't like partaking in group activities, but I would often visit and find a carer sitting with him just chatting. Mum on the other hand was encouraged and enjoyed group activities. They were both treated well with great respect and dignity until dad died in September 2012 and mum September 2015.

Everybody at Lark Rise has been very patient and professional in helping my mother settle into the care home. This has been a difficult period for all of us and mum has been quite reluctant. However the whole staff have handled this very well.

A pleasant review and satisfied with everything. The staff are very amiable and helpful. The home is well kept with lovely gardens. The new homes manager is very nice and we enjoyed the meet and greet meeting that we attended.

Hannah

Hannah Larner

Job Title: Home Manager

Joined: 2024

Hannah joined OSJCT as Home Manager for Larkrise in November 2024. She qualified as a Learning Disability Nurse in 2015 after completing her BSc in Learning Disability Nursing. Before this, Hannah began her career as a support worker specialising in learning disabilities.


Following graduation, she worked in Neurorehabilitation at Oxford Centre of Enablement in Oxford and later gained experience in various healthcare settings, including Accident and Emergency.


Hannah is passionate about Equality and Diversity, always ensuring that everyone feels included and valued in her care.


Outside of work, Hannah enjoys spending time with her family, including her two children and their cat. She is a military wife and loves challenging herself with activities such as completing 5k muddy obstacle courses


Jade

Jade Wise

Job Title: Activities Co-ordinator

Jade has been a career in the trust for three years and an Activities Co-ordinator for two years. Starting off working in a cake shop, she then took the step into working in the care sector in the community before joining OSJCT. She loves anything creative and doing baking and says, “Making people smile is the highlight of my day”.


Kevin

Kevin O'Reilly

Job Title: Maintenance Lead

Joined: 2020

Kevin has worked for the trust for 2.5 years. Prior to working for the trust, Kevin was self-employed in the building trade. Our residents and staff love him and he has built great relationships with them. Kevin likes not knowing what each day will bring, but can turn his hand to most maintenance tasks.


He has recently developed a passion for fitness, and has started going to the gym! Kevin used to train greyhounds and regularly attends meets and races.


Kefas (Josh)

Kefas (Josh) Jeshua

Job Title: Deputy Manager

Joined: 2024

Josh joined OSJCT as Deputy Manager in 2024. Originally from Zimbabwe, he began his career in quality control before transitioning into care. Drawing on his experience with people, customer complaints, and service improvement, Josh has applied these skills to his work in the care sector.


After arriving in the UK in 2004, Josh worked as a temp care worker in the NHS before becoming permanent. He pursued further education, completing a National Certificate in Health and Social Care (Level 3) with the Open University, which opened his eyes to the impact of therapeutic relationships in care. Motivated to make a difference, he earned a foundation degree in Social Care at Oxford Brookes University and later completed a nursing degree at the University of Hertfordshire, graduating in 2015.


Specialising in adult care since 2016, Josh is passionate about leadership and its role in improving care standards. He completed a postgraduate qualification, earning a Master’s in Management in Health and Social Care in 2021. Before joining OSJCT, Josh worked as a Lead Nurse in a private care home, further honing his skills in adult care and team leadership.


Outside of work, Josh is dedicated to voluntary work with the elderly and enjoys cooking, often preparing meals for charity organisations in Oxford. He is married with two children and values family life.


Cecelia

Cecelia Nunn

Job Title: Bursar

Joined: 2024

Cecelia joined OSJCT as Bursar in 2024. She brings a wealth of experience from her background in finance, which she applied in her previous role as Senior House Manager at Abbeyfield. There, Cecelia managed multiple properties across Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire, and Buckinghamshire, overseeing operations, staff, and the wellbeing of residents.


Cecelia is looking forward to putting her experience into practice at Larkrise, ensuring the smooth running of the home and supporting both residents and staff.


Outside of work, Cecelia is married and a mother to three children. She enjoys spending time with her family and values the balance between her professional and personal life.
