Rosebank, rated 'Outstanding' by the CQC in March 2020, is situated in the beautiful village of Bampton in West Oxfordshire. Rosebank is an independently run 28 bedded Care Home, which prides itself on providing personal care in a friendly, homely and supportive environment.

The philosophy is to enable people to continue their lives in a dignified, loving and safe home. Bampton has a vibrant community life which carers encourage residents to be a part of. The home is integrated into the community and they in turn are actively involved in the home.

In addition, the home is truly fortunate to have an excellent medical team in the village, of GPs, district nurses and a pharmacy, who visit the home daily and involve themselves in all phases of care.

All staff are well trained and are supported to achieve national qualifications. The home also has a comprehensive in house training programme. Staff are experienced to deal with all aspects of care in the elderly, including physical infirmity and psychological needs. Carers have a particular expertise in the management of dementia.

The home can accommodate long and short term stays, day care, rehabilitation and respite stays.

In the 9 years my mother-in-law ahs been in care I have been constantly in awe at the high quality of care she has received and the dedication of the staff, at all levels. She is now 101, which proves to me how effective that care has been.

I would recommend this care provider to friends and family. Every effort is made to make the residents feel like it is their home. They are spoken to with empathy and always acknowledged by name. The staff are always smiling and caring. The activities are wide and varied, thus improving life with stimulation.

The home is extremely good, pleasant and caring. Staff and management made me feel at home. It was warm, clean and comfortable and I was made to feel welcome and made very comfortable. The care was excellent and the food was plentiful and very good. The staff were kind, considerate and very professional.

My mother was extremely well cared for at Rosebank Care Home. She spent her last few months here with the most patient and caring staff who respected her individuality, understood her and loved her abundantly. The end of life care was exceptional with good proactive communication between staff, GP
and nursing services which enabled her passing to be dignified. She was looked after by staff who really cared and took pride in their work and fostering a positive, professional relationship with her extending to her family as well.

Rosebank is a fabulous home and we are absolutely delighted that mum is resident here. Rosebank have the skillset and ability to keep mum well and happy. Mum is very challenging however Rosebank is amazing at managing her and keeping her happy.

Over the years my Mother has settled into her life at Rosebank, where they have taken great care of her. Her needs are attended to as they change and staff makes sure that she is comfortable and eats well. They work closely with the local surgery and bring in grooming services to ensure the residents'
wellbeing is met.
I live outside the UK and have always been able to get an update on my Mother via the phone from the carers who work closely with her. The administration has been forthcoming with logistics of changing care needs and provide guidance when I need it.
I would definitely recommend Rosebank as a care facility for a loved one.

Rosebank is a lovely care home. It is more homely as it's not too big. The staff are friendly and very caring to the residents. There are lots of activities going on during the week, also trips out and entertainment.
I have recommended it to people who have been looking for somewhere for a parent.
No one likes to have to put their loved ones in a home.
Myself and my sister and brother are all very happy with the care our mum gets there.

My parents were at Rosebank for several years, mum suffering from dementia and dad as an amputee. They both received great care and affection. I always felt that they were in the safest of hands. The staff are a fabulous bunch and it speaks volumes to say that they come to work at Rosebank and stay
- the place really does have a homely feel and it's clear that the care team, the admin team and the owners are committed to providing high-quality care to all everyone. I was made very welcome when I visited - the staff were consistently cheerful, patient and professional, always finding time for a chat if I had any worries. The admin folk were readily approachable, answering emails quickly and effectively. I also know that my parents were kept busy with a great range of day-time activities. Many photos are taken by the team and thanks to them, I've got lovely images of them having a great time, doing all sorts of things, both with beaming smiles on their faces!

Rosebank Care Home is a converted typical Cotswold building. There are four well-kept rooms (lounges), two of which look out onto well-tended gardens. One of the lounges is used for dining and some residents use 'hospital' type tables near their armchairs. Food appears to be well presented and wholesome.
The staff are well-trained and undergo courses for dementia. They are kind, caring and considerate towards residents. The bedrooms are a good size and beds have side rails.

Rosebank Care Home is a very caring home. Staff are always polite and welcoming to our arrival and someone is always there if we need to talk. They have a lot of patience with the more difficult residents. Activities are changed everyday and also visits are arranged to stimulate the residents and all
festivals are celebrated. If problems arise we are informed straight away by phone and told what action is being taken. My mother was also in Rosebank Care Home 7 years ago and the same staff are still there which is good. All the rooms are clean and fresh and the garden is used all the time in the summer. We love it.

I have worked in the care sector and with Rosebank for over 13 years. I began my journey with Rosebank as a care worker and I am so proud to have progressed to home manager. I have loved working in care from the very beginning – I love taking care of our residents and making their lives enjoyable and fulfilling. If I can make at least one of my residents laugh or smile during the day, it makes my day!


Our vision for Rosebank has always been that it is first and foremost our residents. home; a place where they feel loved, safe, respected, and treated with dignity.


To help achieve this, our staff must understand our values, and be kind and compassionate... But also fun!


Our values are centred around residents having a sense of purpose and belonging, living well, and finding enjoyment. This is supported by ensuring residents have a choice, every day, on how they want to spend their time and with whom.


Having a link with our local community is a key priority at Rosebank. It is something we have striven to achieve and continue to develop. It is central to the happiness of our residents. The community at Bampton are involved in the lives of our residents on a daily basis. This is supported through regular interactions with local school children and even toddler groups.


Rosebank is a beautiful home, set in stunning Oxfordshire surroundings, but the essence of the home, and the very fabric of who we are, is nothing without the staff within it. The team is everything, from careful recruitment to ongoing support, training, and feeling valued and part of our family. The management team, and many of the staff, have been with us since 2008.


We go above and beyond to look after our team. We have a commitment to a high staff ratio, to ensure staff have time to deliver quality care they can feel proud of, and to build valued relationships.


We listen to our staff, seek their feedback, and implement their ideas for continuous improvement. Ongoing training and development is actively encouraged and supported for everyone, to ensure the highest standards of care for all our residents.
