The Beeches is welcoming new residents for both respite stays, convalescence and on a permanent basis.

The Beeches is a care home operated by Anchor and it is located at the heart of the Leatherhead community, with good road and public transport links.

Anchor is England’s largest provider of housing and care for those over 55 years of age and has more than 60 years of experience as a not-for-profit provider of services to older people.

Staff receive on-going training to provide residents living with dementia with the best care possible.

Each customer has a personalised, detailed care plan which is created by the dedicated care team by building relationships and really getting to know the customer, to ensure the care they receive continually meets their needs.

Mum moved into The Beeches in September 2019. She is well looked after and comfortable, her carers are very kind to her. During these challenging times, The Beeches management and staff have provided as many options as possible for residents to keep in touch with their family and friends, which means
that Mum has been able to enjoy regular contact with her family throughout the Covid pandemic. It is very reassuring to know that Mum is in safe hands.

My mother and I received a warm and reassuring welcome from everyone at The Beeches. All the staff are kind, friendly and efficient, and nothing is too much trouble. I feel my Mother is in safe and caring hands, and I look forward to being able to spend more time with her there when restrictions are

My mother has been a resident at The Beeches for almost three years. From my experience, she settled in quickly and is very happy with the care she receives from the staff.
I am impressed with the range of activities on offer, which I frequently follow on Facebook.

My father moved into The Beeches in January 2020. Who could possibly have imagined that the world would have a Coronavirus pandemic and the UK would go into lockdown and that all non-medical visits would stop! My father is unable to see small screens, so internet connections would not work for us. However,
I phoned regularly and was able to discuss with the staff what was happening with regard to care, testing and all other issues before speaking to my dad. The staff are always helpful and friendly on the phone. They have coped marvellously with the lockdown. My dad sounds cheerful and likes chatting with the team there. It was a huge relief when garden visits started last summer. Then the visits had to stop again. The team put photos on Facebook and send out newsletters keeping the families informed.

I believe the staff at The Beeches have been thorough and efficient in dealing with the pandemic and in looking after the person for whom I am responsible. They have been proactive when necessary and shown appropriate sensitivity when necessary. Staff members' knowledge of their residents' condition
and well-being appears good, and I believe they have dealt well with challenging situations.
When restrictions are lifted, I think the group should provide a wider range of activities for residents, including those that involve supervised travel outside the home.

Very caring staff who look after my wife very well as she is in need of considerable amounts of their time. The only problem I can see is that agency personnel are not always of high enough standard to assist the permanent staff.

In order to ensure that we have the required number of staff to provide care and safety for our residents, we do use agency staff on occasion. Agency staff are primarily used from the same agency for consistency for our residents. Anyone we feel does not meet our high standards, we will not use again. We are working with our recruitment team to eradicate agency use within the home.

Dad is extremely well looked after by the staff at The Beeches. They have concern for both his physical and mental welfare. During lockdown, they have provided all the love and care that I would have wished, and noticed anything that he needed and let me know. The staff always notify me if Dad is unwell
or has a problem. My only concern would be that the area for 'window visits' is really unwelcoming and the lighting is poor so that Dad finds it difficult to see and hear us, but visits are easily arranged.

Highly recommend to anyone thinking of moving a family member or anyone who is needing care. The staff are amazing. My mother in law is so well looked after, I couldn’t actually fault the care they provide and I always speak very highly of the care home.

Mum seems to have settled in well joins in a lot than she did with the activities. The staff are always friendly and helpful, the food is all home-cooked and fresh. The homemade cakes are to die for (we have missed these due to the Covid-19 crisis) We would highly recommend The Beeches. All the rooms

My mum came here in August 2018 after a major operation. She was in a lot of pain and very confused but the staff here made her comfortable and were very kind. After a few very unsettled months, mum started to relax a bit and join in with the activities offered. Now, over a year later, she is like a
different person. She is happy, giggles a lot, loves the singing, activities and generally enjoys life. My only negative is that they don’t seem to be given many cold drinks during the day. I have only noticed these at mealtimes.

The staff are always pleasant and helpful. Mum always looks well cared for and happy.
My only negative would be her wardrobe being used to dump pads, which should be kept in the bathroom, so her personal belongings are not hidden.

I visit from France so it's not as regular as I would like, but when I do visit my step dad I'm always made to feel very welcome. Dad is looked after very well, the room and the facilities are clean and tidy. Dad says the majority of staff are caring and friendly. Dad is very quiet and no trouble so
he can easily be forgotten, but he can go to the staff if he needs anything.
