Overall Experience

My mother-in-law initially came for post-operative respite care, but within a matter of a few weeks, she had settled so well that she chose to make Cossins her permanent home. She is incredibly happy. The best we have seen her in years. Relaxed. At ease. Happy, happy, happy. She thrives in the company

of other residents and carers but is also happy to spend time in her room, which is homely and with all her familiar things around her. We are so appreciative of the care she gets and delighted she is once again happy. We could not recommend it more highly.

Overall Experience

My mum had vowed to stay in her own home.. but due to failing health has now moved permanently into Cossins House. Despite her reservations, she has found that life there is so much better than it had become for her at home. I cannot praise the staff highly enough, everyone working at the home in any

capacity knew her and called her by her name as soon as she moved in, and this approach has helped to dispel her confusion at living in a different place. The caring staff, most of whom have worked there for several years, are unfailingly cheerful and encouraging even when her mood is not so sunny. The food is tasty and well presented and takes my mum's tastes into account.
The surroundings including a wonderful garden are well-kept and comfortable and there are plenty of activities to get her involved. We could not ask for a better place for her to live now.

Overall Experience

Beautiful home, friendly, caring and very well-led. Great activities at all times. Staff are full of joy. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a great care home. The grounds are fantastic, the gardener does such a great job.

Overall Experience

I can not rate Cossins House Care Home highly enough. The staff are excellent. Not only are they wonderful at their job they are so caring and have such a lovely way with the residents. It is like a big lovely family at Cossins. This is like no other care home I’ve ever experienced and would not hesitate

Overall Experience

Such a lovely home with wonderful staff and beautiful grounds. So much to enjoy and lots of fun activities. Pleasant, caring and kind team at all times. The garden is amazing and very well kept. It's like a family home, everyone is friendly and makes you welcome.

Overall Experience

My gran couldn’t be happier than she is at Cossins House. Staff are polite and caring and have been keeping in contact with us during COVID. I am sent a lovely newsletter every month to show the wonderful activities taking place. The grounds are super and very well kept. I couldn’t ask for anything

more than what is already offered at Cossins.

Rose Punzal

Job Title: General Manager

Joined: 2003

Healthcare has always been the driving force of my career, ever since I trained as Registered Pharmacist in Philippines for 10 years.

I moved to the UK in 2003, joining Cossins House as a Care Assistant, working my way up eventually to Deputy Manager and now General Manager.

As a General Manager, I am responsible for managing all aspects of the home’s daily operation, ensuring that the highest possible standard of care is provided and in accordance with Care Quality Commission (CQC) and Barchester policies.

As a leader, I will demonstrate an open and transparent culture, whereby my staff feel valued and developed.

As a team, we have achieved the prestigious Gold Standard Framework (GSF) Award-Platinum Status and a CQC 'Outstanding' in Care Domain.

As a person, I am kind, calm and patient. I love to spend time video calling and chatting with my family back home. I am a mother of one child and happily married.

Marita Segui

Job Title: Deputy

Joined: 2010

I started my career in care industry as Senior Care Assistant way back in 2006 in Nottingham, before moving to Surrey in 2010. I find my role really fulfulling!

Lisa Unsworth

Job Title: Activities Leader

I am the Activity Leader here at Cossins House and provide a large number of activities. We work on a person-centred approach for each of our residents. We work as a team to engage with everyone and work to the needs of each resident. We have lots of fun and games indoors and outdoors, trips out, LIVE music and entertainment and one-to-one sessions.

We have a Holy Communion service every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month and a hairdresser that visits every other Monday. We are always open to new ideas and have volunteers coming in each week. We work closely with Pet Therapy and have several dogs visiting. We work with local schools, who sing for us every Christmas.

Catherine Edwards

Job Title: Administrator

Joined: 2013

Catherine has been at Cossins House for 7 years and is responsible for ensuring the administration of the home runs smoothly and effectively. This includes both our management accounts and payroll.

Manny Muthy

Job Title: Maintenance Manager

Joined: 2017

Manny is responsible for ensuring our residents live in a place that’s proactively inspected and brilliantly maintained at all times.

Raji Dhuna

Job Title: Head Chef

Joined: 2019

I started my career as a chef in 2008 and joined Cossins House in 2019. I am passionate about working with fresh produce, creating well-balanced, seasonal menus focused on residents' choices and the nutritional value of the dishes. I enjoy having a chat with the residents and their visitors to get to know more about their likes and dislikes. I cook with a dedication to ensure the residents enjoy their meals.

Alex Espiritu

Alex demonstrates a true passion for gardening by cultivating a welcoming atmosphere in our gardens with colourful flowers and vibrant, wide-open spaces that benefit our residents and wildlife alike.
