Overall Experience

Since the home opened for visiting (covid19), I have been able to visit my aunt. She is loving the care and attention; from the staff. Everyone is so friendly and can't do enough.

Overall Experience

Such a kind friendly home, being able to visit my friend at a distance. Staff are very good and polite at all times. Activities in the garden are astonishing whilst visiting. I look forward to going to my next visit.

Overall Experience

From day one when the resident came to Cossins House, the care has been consistently excellent. She has been treated with love and care and sensitivity to all her needs. She herself has always said how kind everybody has been to her, in her own words, everybody is 'marvellous'.

Overall Experience

I cannot praise the staff of Cossins House Care Home enough. They are very attentive and caring in every way. Our sister was at home here since the first day she arrived. During lockdown, the staff kept us informed how sister was doing and we were able to "see her" on WhatsApp video. I would recommend

this home. With gratitude for the care and attention given to her personal needs. Thank you.

Overall Experience

I have 2 friends in this home. Every time I come and visit I find them in a happy state and I feel most welcomed here. It is a friendly and welcoming environment.

Overall Experience

Overall Experience

When my wife and I went to see Cossins House we were impressed with the atmosphere of care and attention given to residents. This impression has proved to be more than the case, we could not be happier to have our mother (in-law) here.

Overall Experience

After visiting my grandmother while on leave I am yet again taken aback how amazing the staff are at Cossins House. My grandmother is very comfortable and cared for beyond my wishes. We fed her lunch which was not only well-balanced but delicious by the looks of her empty plate yet again. Thank you

Overall Experience

We as a family are so grateful to have Cossins House for our mum. Her care has been incredible from day one, she is always cared for with love and dignity. Each member of staff has a special gift and together that makes one fantastic team. Doctor's and healthcare practitioners cannot speak highly enough

Overall Experience

In my opinion, Cossins House is one of the best in Surrey. I have relatives in a couple of other homes and my daughter is a carer in one of them but Cossins House is by far the cleanest, most caring and friendliest of them all.

Overall Experience

Each time I visit I find my friend happy, clean, content. The carers are welcoming and attentive and do all they can to make sure the residents are stimulated and interested. We are all friends and find the home a real home from home.

Overall Experience

The staff at Cossins House were superb in caring for my late father-in-law as his health failed and he came to the end of his life.
They were proactive and sensitive to the family's wishes.
We and my father in law could not have hoped for more.

Overall Experience

I have visited Cossins House many times and have always found the staff extremely polite, welcoming and my friend is looked after and very contented and happy. I have only experienced the home as one of great compassion. Very clean. I am fortunate in having my friend there who is loved and cared for

Overall Experience

My dad was a resident at Cossins for over 10 years. The standard of care was always excellent, particularly during his last few months. The love and support given to him and his family was outstanding and he was able to stay 'at home' to die peacefully.

Overall Experience

As soon as we walked through the door we knew that this was the place for dad. Critically the staff were super friendly and caring. The room was spacious and light. The atmosphere was nice. We were not disappointed. As dad subsequently made a speedy recovery and was able to come home he showed no hurry

to leave Cossins.

Rose Punzal

Job Title: General Manager

Joined: 2003

Healthcare has always been the driving force of my career, ever since I trained as Registered Pharmacist in Philippines for 10 years.

I moved to the UK in 2003, joining Cossins House as a Care Assistant, working my way up eventually to Deputy Manager and now General Manager.

As a General Manager, I am responsible for managing all aspects of the home’s daily operation, ensuring that the highest possible standard of care is provided and in accordance with Care Quality Commission (CQC) and Barchester policies.

As a leader, I will demonstrate an open and transparent culture, whereby my staff feel valued and developed.

As a team, we have achieved the prestigious Gold Standard Framework (GSF) Award-Platinum Status and a CQC 'Outstanding' in Care Domain.

As a person, I am kind, calm and patient. I love to spend time video calling and chatting with my family back home. I am a mother of one child and happily married.

I started my career in care industry as Senior Care Assistant way back in 2006 in Nottingham, before moving to Surrey in 2010. I find my role really fulfulling!

Lisa Unsworth

I am the Activity Leader here at Cossins House and provide a large number of activities. We work on a person-centred approach for each of our residents. We work as a team to engage with everyone and work to the needs of each resident. We have lots of fun and games indoors and outdoors, trips out, LIVE music and entertainment and one-to-one sessions.

We have a Holy Communion service every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month and a hairdresser that visits every other Monday. We are always open to new ideas and have volunteers coming in each week. We work closely with Pet Therapy and have several dogs visiting. We work with local schools, who sing for us every Christmas.

Catherine Edwards

Catherine has been at Cossins House for 7 years and is responsible for ensuring the administration of the home runs smoothly and effectively. This includes both our management accounts and payroll.

Manny Muthy

Manny is responsible for ensuring our residents live in a place that’s proactively inspected and brilliantly maintained at all times.

Raji Dhuna

I started my career as a chef in 2008 and joined Cossins House in 2019. I am passionate about working with fresh produce, creating well-balanced, seasonal menus focused on residents' choices and the nutritional value of the dishes. I enjoy having a chat with the residents and their visitors to get to know more about their likes and dislikes. I cook with a dedication to ensure the residents enjoy their meals.

Alex demonstrates a true passion for gardening by cultivating a welcoming atmosphere in our gardens with colourful flowers and vibrant, wide-open spaces that benefit our residents and wildlife alike.
