Thank you for taking the time to review our home, we are delighted to hear how happy you are with your Father’s care here at Cossins House and that you find our management team ‘excellent.’ The contractor fault in the bathroom is being reviewed further following your feedback, as is cleanliness. The cottage itself is highly safe and secure, only a few steps away from the main home. As your Father uses the back door to access the main home there may be occasions when deliveries are being taken at the same time. We are in the process of making adjustments to allow easier access for wheelchairs through this door, such as altering the photocopier and units to give more space and moving the fire extinguishers to the side so wheelchairs won’t bump into them. Feel free to pop in for a chat with our Home Manager on your next visit if there's anything you'd like to discuss further.

As a General Manager, I am responsible for managing all aspects of the home’s daily operation, ensuring that the highest possible standard of care is provided and in accordance with Care Quality Commission (CQC) and Barchester policies.
As a leader, I will demonstrate an open and transparent culture, whereby my staff feel valued and developed.
As a team, we have achieved the prestigious Gold Standard Framework (GSF) Award-Platinum Status and a CQC 'Outstanding' in Care Domain.
As a person, I am kind, calm and patient. I love to spend time video calling and chatting with my family back home. I am a mother of one child and happily married.

I am the Activity Leader here at Cossins House and provide a large number of activities. We work on a person-centred approach for each of our residents. We work as a team to engage with everyone and work to the needs of each resident. We have lots of fun and games indoors and outdoors, trips out, LIVE music and entertainment and one-to-one sessions.
We have a Holy Communion service every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month and a hairdresser that visits every other Monday. We are always open to new ideas and have volunteers coming in each week. We work closely with Pet Therapy and have several dogs visiting. We work with local schools, who sing for us every Christmas.
