I have had a very satisfactory experience because the care of the residents is very good. Everyone, from the top down, is extremely friendly and has always been kind. Any bumps along the way are very soon sorted for the benefit of all. I fully recommend this care home to all.

My mother, who had vascular dementia, lived at Elizabeth Court for 18-months. Throughout an extremely difficult time for staff and residents alike, she was unfailingly treated with kindness and respect. The staff here really do care about their residents, and we could not have asked for more from them.
The home itself is spacious and airy with a lovely garden in a peaceful setting. I have recommended it to a number of people who are seeking a care home for their loved ones.

This is the start of my third week of my new home. It was my decision to come into a care home as it was becoming obvious that I could no longer cope by myself and live safely. My daughter helped me, and we selected Elizabeth Court. From day one, I have been shown respect and treated with care, dignity
and cheerfulness. I look forward to being able to spend my time living in Elizabeth Court.

Elizabeth Court has been perfect for my grandmother with vascular dementia and a difficult personality. The staff have been brilliant with her needs and have got used to her awkward ways! I never thought my grandmother would settle into a care home but she has said, on so many occasions, how happy she
is to be there and how pleasant the staff are to her. I would recommend to others with similar needs.

My mother has been a resident at Elizabeth Court for over a year now, a place that she chose herself. Dementia has slow caught up with her and although at times she is confused as to where she is, she does feel at home. We had to place her there as she suffered anxiety living alone. Being with other
residents gives her some security of contact particularly after the death of my father and a close friend. Also, the support she receives from all the staff has helped in this, certainly at night time and much to our relief.

My mum lived at Elizabeth Court with dementia for just over 2 years, and she was comfortable and well looked after. It is a bright, well-run home. The manager, her deputy, and several of mum's carers have been there throughout her stay. They are all kind and dedicated people. We chose this home partly
because we liked its layout, divided into small areas with their own lounge, dining room and bedrooms nearby on the same level. Mum could still walk with a frame when she first moved in and was able to retain some mobility and independence. Meals are simple and nicely cooked. Activities were very good before Covid. During the pandemic, the staff have stayed cheerful and positive under very difficult circumstances, and have done their best to facilitate video calls, and visits when allowed by the regulations. The fees were reasonable and the contract is fairer than some other care home contracts I have seen. We are glad that we chose this home for mum.

Elizabeth Court have been wonderful during this terrible Covid situation. Ensuring that residents and staff get regular tests. And vaccinations took place in a timely manner. They worked so hard to give the residents the best Christmas possible under very different circumstances.
And the portal system
and window visits help a lot in keeping us close to our loved ones

All the staff at Elizabeth Court are friendly and very helpful, nothing is too much trouble. Even during this pandemic they have made arrangements so as my sister and I could visit our mum.
The lounges are large and airy and the food is excellent. Rooms are very clean and residents are always treated
with respect and dignity.

My mother arrived at Elizabeth Court two years ago having been diagnosed with dementia. It was always going to be a difficult step to take - trusting anyone with the care of an elderly parent is not easy. For the first couple of months, she talked about “going home” whenever we saw or spoke to her
but that quickly changed as she made new friends and undertook the numerous activities on offer (she was always pictured in the newsletter taking part in whatever excursion or club that was happening). Elizabeth Court itself has a lovely, bright, friendly atmosphere and the staff are wonderful, always ready with a smile and chat for mum and always available to answer any questions/concerns I have had over the past few difficult months. I couldn’t have wished for better care for her.

During the time Mum has been at Elizabeth Court she has been well cared for by very friendly and helpful staff.
The last few months have been very difficult for all due to the Covid restrictions on visiting and as I do not live locally I have really appreciated being able to have video calls with
her. Staff are always polite and helpful when I call and when I was able to visit earlier in the year, hopefully, it won't be too long before I can visit again.

The staff and management bent over backwards to accommodate my elderly mother just as the Covid-19 outbreak was beginning to bite. Within a day or so of her joining Elizabeth Court the "lock-down" happened. This was not a good time for care homes generally and Elizabeth Court did what they could within
the guidelines to allow occasional contact. In my mother's case, we were fortunate that she had a ground floor room, so we could easily have "through the window" chats when we wanted. Face to face socially distanced meetings in the garden were fairly easy to book and they also introduced WhatsApp video calls. My mother couldn't fault the care she received, although she said there were a lot of staff away on sick leave (with COVID around, hardly surprising). She is not a very demanding person, always working on the basis that there is someone in more need than her. However, the staff did their best to keep her looking smart (e.g. washing her hair as she was unable to and even painting her nails).

One year ago, my mother had a stroke followed by pneumonia,  which left her unable to live in her own home anymore. Living in Caterham all my life, I knew which care home would suit my mother for her needs. I chose Elizabeth Court, not only because it is local but I knew she would get top quality care
and assistance with daily tasks. We also get regular updates on mum's health and welfare. Since arriving, the staff have encouraged her to walk again and she has met some new friends. Unfortunately, things have changed since the Covid-19 virus but Elizabeth Court have made comprehensive measures to ensure  health and safety of all, having regular Covid-19 tests for staff and clients. We can also see our loved ones by making  pre-arranged meetings in the garden

During Covid-19 I have been unable to visit my mother, who has Alzheimer's Disease. She has been living in Elizabeth Court Care Home for two years.
The standard of care is outstanding.
Nothing is too much trouble for the staff.
On her 90th birthday, an afternoon tea was laid on for the family and
a huge fuss made of Mum.
The kindness of the staff is truly exceptional.
Today I was able to visit Mum in the garden whilst maintaining two metres apart. This meant a great deal to me to be able to see her. The staff set up an area outside taking all the necessary precautions to make this possible - thank you.
This home is very well-led.

I would like to praise the amazing staff for their care and support of my mum in her final days. She has been at Elizabeth Court around 9-years, and I have always found the staff caring and person-centred. In her last few days, people were even more amazing and finding the right music to create a peaceful
atmosphere, ensuring Mum was comfortable and supported tenderly. They were also fantastic with me, answering question sensitively and clearly, making sure I had emotional support and all I needed. The manager and her team are just the best, thank you!

This was my father's second stay at Elizabeth Court. We were impressed with the number of familiar staff faces from his last visit in September 2017.
He was welcomed back and when I went to collect him ten days later, he'd obviously enjoyed his stay.
The staff were friendly, inclusive and attentive.
I've been back to Elizabeth Court since and staff have been eager to find out 'when's he coming back?'
All members of staff with whom I came into contact with or without my father seemed keen to do their best for him.

Today I made an unannounced visit to an old friend who has been a resident at Elizabeth Court for almost three years. I was welcomed most warmly by the staff and joined her in the tea room' for elevensies and homemade cake - delicious. I met several residents who were delighted to greet my wee dog,
Lady, and made a great fuss of her. The whole place was spotless and smell-less too. If I need to go into care I would like a home like this.
