My father has been a resident at Elizabeth Court for two years and I am extremely happy with the care that he receives. The staff know my father very well and attend to all of his need. Elizabeth Court is a lively happy care home and very welcoming to residents family members. If I ever have issues
concerning my father's care I can approach any staff member it is immediately addressed. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Elizabeth Court to anyone looking for a care home or a loved one.

My uncle had lived alone all his live until 94 yrs old and we had always assumed that he would hate care home life. When he developed anorexia, fell, and suffered a brain haemorrhage we all felt that his life was pretty much 'over'. However, he survived, his first words to us after surgery were 'I don't
know why they bothered', so he wasn't in a happy place. He has very poor sight, is hard of hearing and cannot walk. We requested that he have breakfast and tea in his room, and lunch in the dining room, which has worked extremely well, he cannot taste much so complains about the food, but we have had to replace all his trousers as his old ones had become 'rather snug!' When we visit we would reckon that someone comes into his room (with tea, or to empty the bin, or whatever) at least every half hour. He is always clean, tidy, sweet smelling and comfortable. What really marks Elizabeth Court out is the enthusiasm the staff throw into the activities. We first viewed the home on remembrance day, they had home made wreath decorations, wreath shaped home made cakes and a piper in a kilt for a remembrance service. They have visiting musical entertainment, visiting animals, sing alongs, arts and crafts, Easter activities, a tea party with St George slaying the dragon re-enacted for St George's day. Of course Father Christmas comes round on Christmas day. All residents, even the grumpy recalcitrant ones are encouraged to join in wherever they are able. Visiting children and dogs are encouraged. Our uncle is having the time of his life.
