Amanda is a registered nurse, specialist practitioner District Nurse, Advanced nurse practitioner and Independent Prescriber. Her career was mainly in the community working as a District Nurse, Community Matron for Residential and Nursing Homes and an Advanced Nurse Practitioner. She has developed new services within the community and received the title of Queens Nurse for the development of an ANP-led service for Nursing and residential homes assessing the unwell resident, diagnosing and prescribing to prevent unnecessary GP call-outs and hospital admissions. Amanda has worked several years as a home manager improving standards and developing staff to be their best. Recently she has commissioned a new care home but realised there is nothing more rewarding than working in a ‘homely home’. Amanda is proud to make a difference in people's lives by providing quality person-centred care.
