Limegrove in East Horsley is operated by the Anchor Hanover Group. It is a purpose-built home, supporting up to 55 older people to live a comfortable lifestyle, as well as specialising in dementia care. It is located close to the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The home continues to welcome new residents for a range of residential care services, including convalescence care, respite care, trial stays and long term care.

The care team gets to know customers and works with them to organise stimulating activities which match individual and group interests, both in the care home as well as in the local community. Each customer’s individual needs are regularly assessed to ensure their care plans meet their lifestyle requirements. Meals are cooked fresh, using locally sourced and seasonal ingredients where possible.

Anchor is England’s largest provider of housing and care for those over 55 years of age and has more than 60 years of experience as a not-for-profit provider of services to older people.

We are more than happy with the way all at Limegrove are caring for my mother, who at times, cannot be the easiest person to care for.

Limegrove is situated in beautiful countryside but only 5 minutes walk to local shops, a bowling green with seats around, a community centre and a church. I came here suffering from terrible depression, but within a week I knew this is where I wanted to be. Every week we have a minibus trip, a quiz,
seated exercise and various crafts. For those who sadly are unable to enjoy these things, our carers are there to attend to their needs. They do an excellent job. This is a happy, cosy home. I love it.

When I have visited the staff have been most helpful. I had lunch with my mother recently and this was most acceptable. Staff were doing their best in difficult circumstances.

My husband comes occasionally for respite, one week at a time, provided by social services.
It gives me a much needed break. All the staff welcome my husband on each visit and look after him well.

Left my mother with a certain amount of trepidation for a period of respite. First time ever and needn't have worried at all. From the moment we arrived, she was treated with courtesy and kindness from every member of staff we encountered. The home appears to be a happy place for both staff and residents.
Surroundings are comfortable and immaculately clean. My Mum has some dementia but she said the food was excellent and the care staff were so good to her. Lots of activities going on for those who wish to participate but others are welcome to watch. So thank you to everyone who looked after her and see you in the New Year.

Staff are caring and understanding. My wife is content but owing to her dementia. She does not always understand but the staff always look after her. The staff always understand if I have any problems and deal with them in a professional manner.

Limegrove is a clean, attractive care home with fresh decor and a homely feel. The food is excellent - with a choice given to residents or they can choose a special order (omelette etc) The staff are caring and the receptionists very helpful. Like most care homes getting sufficient staff on a regular
basis can be a challenge but things seem to run smoothly. A good range of activities and occasional outings are offered and the garden is used when fine.

It was decided earlier this year that mum needed help. She was put into Limegrove. We were very apprehensive not knowing how she would be. We needn't have worried as she settled in quite quickly. We love the home if we had had to pick one we couldn't have found a better one. The staff are lovely as
are the residents. Mum is very happy.
