My mother-in-law moved into Linden House earlier this year. The welcome and support both my mother-in-law and the family received has meant the move was easy and she settled immediately. She has a permanent smile on her face, looks years younger, and constantly thanks us for finding Linden House and
is always praising the staff. Many thanks.

Thank you so much for your comments and we really appreciate your words as well as those from Mum. Mum is indeed a pleasure to support and she certainly brightens up my day each morning. It is our aim to ensure that every resident is able to have a life that is full of happiness, quality and love. The friendships that are formed here between residents and staff are so refreshing and we will do everything in our power to ensure that continues. Many thanks again.

My mum has been living here for 4 weeks now and the staff have been amazing. My mum has dementia and arrived in a very confused state.
The staff quickly tapped into her needs and have worked so hard to help her settle. They quickly learnt what helps her to stay calm and keep her occupied. And when
she isn’t so calm quickly distract her and reassure her.
A huge thank you to all the staff who make up the team. Thank you for your kindness to Mum and to my sister and I.

Excellent care. The difference in Dad coming to here from hospital is amazing. The team work between staff and the quality of care for my dad's needs is exceptional. No other care home could tend to my dad's high dementia needs, we'd nearly given up hope. So relieved Dad is here, to see his face light
up with the staff. They care for Dad in every aspect. Thank you so much management and staff, all of you are amazing. Thank you.

I have always been very happy with my mum's care. She recently passed away.
The staff are very dedicated and loving. The management are excellent and brilliant with staff, visitors and residents. Could not have found a better home for my mother. As a family, we are just all so relieved she was safe
and happy. The senior career has been attentive and really engaging whenever we were around. It was nice to hear what mum was doing and how she was enjoying herself. Really great staff!

I hadn't visited an old friend in a long time. I came to the home for the first time this week. I was overwhelmed by the warm and welcoming atmosphere provided by the management team, and the multiple members of the staff who I came across were all so kind and courteous to my friend and me. They treated
me like I was a relative and they knew me already - the staff were attentive to my friend's needs yet allowed us the space we needed to catch up after. The layout is homely and perfect for my friend because she needed a caring environment. My friend appeared to be cared for both physically and mentally so well and she expressed she was very happy which is the most important to thing to me, I can see she is showered with tender loving care. I can't be more grateful for the work the team is providing to my friend and the assurance that Linden House gives me that it is truly the definition of a 'care home'. Thank you all for your hard work.

The staff at Linden House are really lovely and kind, they are the best and most trustworthy staff ever. I couldn't change a single thing about Linden House Care home. They make sure each and every single resident's health is always monitored closely and is with them 24/7. The deputy manager and manager
are absolutely lovely and respect each and every single one of the resident's wishes. They make all of the residents smile while also making sure that their health is perfect! The activities and events that take place are absolutely fabulous. This is the most wonderful, lovely care home ever! Staff are so well-mannered, and always aware of health conditions that a resident has, what more can you ask for? I would a hundred per cent recommend going there! It's an absolutely amazing place to visit and bring someone there. Privacy is always safe with this care home. Respect is the most stunning thing Thank you so much Linden House Care Home. I really do appreciate the lovely work and effort you do.

It was mum's 95th birthday and the staff at Linden House laid on an afternoon tea party. It was truly wonderful. China cups and plates, tea and coffee pots, Prosecco, lovely food, a pot of fresh flowers, banners and balloons! The chef made a cake and all the staff and managers came and presented it
to mum and I helped blow the candles out with her. It was a lovely sweet afternoon and it made us and mum feel special. The activities coordinator took pictures so we can all treasure the day. The staff are so kind and caring and much appreciated.

When I first came to the home, I didn't know what to expect. I found the staff and management to be so kind and welcoming. The home was extremely clean and welcoming. The care being given to the residents was second to none; they truly are the best. The management and the way in which the home is run
are excellent, and the residents were very happy and content, and you couldn't ask for better care. I would highly recommend the home.

I was extremely impressed with the level of care my grandmother received at Linden House. The carers go above and beyond to meet the needs of each resident, as do the manager and deputy manager. The manager personally ensures that the care home is working to the highest standards and was very knowledgeable
and experienced. I am very grateful that my grandmother was able to reside in a peaceful place with all of her needs met. Thank you so much to everyone at Linden House. Spectacular service.

One afternoon a group of us were taken to the local garden centre. We went first to have a cup of tea and were then taken around the garden. The weather was very good and it was so nice to see all the plants and flowers growing so well. It made a very nice change of scene.

The quality of care is excellent. All staff are kind and caring and without exception, know Dad's likes and dislikes. I am always kept very well informed. I especially like that the care home only supports a small number of residents enabling a home/family type atmosphere. The staff always go above
and beyond and they always treat Dad with respect and dignity.

My Nan suffers with Alzheimer's and Vascular Dementia. Nan is not the easiest person to care for but the care team are so patient and kind. Nan's room is comfortable and clean. The food always looks lovely and Nan enjoys it. Nan is happy and well cared for and as a family, we are kept up to date and
informed.

I can not thank the staff enough at Linden House. My parents have both settled in so well. The staff are so caring, kind, thoughtful, compassionate and patient with them, as well as being kind and supportive to the family.
Mum and Dad are thriving in their care. To see them looking so well, and happy
means so much to us.
To know they are safe and well looked after has taken such a weight off of our shoulders and I can be their daughter again.
You've all given Mum and Dad a new lease of life. Before they were just existing, now they are enjoying life, making new friends, enjoying new hobbies and enjoying being together.
Words are not enough to express my gratitude and thanks.

Current Review Score: 8.9 (8.872)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.9 (8.872) out of 10 for Linden House is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 4 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.0 out of 5 from 4 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.872 for Linden House is calculated as follows: ( (41 Excellents x 5) + (6 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 47 Ratings = 4.872

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 4 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Linden House is based on 4 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 = 3.375

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 32 registered maximum number of service users is 6.4. 4 Positive Reviews ÷ 6.4 = 0.625

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
