I feel so happy that we found Priors Mead for my mother. She settled in immediately and has now been a resident for over three years and I have nothing but praise for all the staff. They were truly amazing during the Covid lockdown and did everything they could to keep me in communication with my mum.
In July
I went to the Summer party which was lovely, obviously, a lot of work had gone into organising it and it was a great success. The home has always felt just that, a home. I have no hesitation in recommending Priors Mead to anyone looking for a new home for a loved one.

Although my father was only there for two weeks, he thoroughly enjoyed the interaction with all of the staff and the events that the team arranged. The team there all tried to add a personal touch and showed real care in looking after their guests. Would wholeheartedly recommend it to others and would
be happy to go there myself one day when I may need it!

I have had the pleasure of visiting Priors Mead on many occasions and spent time with several of the residents there. Aside from the warm, homely and ever-welcoming atmosphere, the outstanding commitment by the staff to provide respectful, kind and genuinely caring support is always visible. Everyone
is treated with gentleness and patience and most importantly, listened to, given time - and never patronised. The recent Summer Fayre was a perfect example of the staff 'going the extra mile' for not only the residents but also their friends and family. It was a superbly organised day with lots of treats and fun for all. Priors Mead is simply a lovely place to live and visit and I would not hesitate in recommending it to anyone wanting a small care home where their loved ones will be welcomed and cared for as family.

I recently was discharged from hospital with a damaged back. My daughters live relatively close to Priors Mead Care home. I have been resident at this home, it;s wonderful facilities and meals made for a good recovery.

My mother was a resident of Priors Mead Care Home for over two and a half years and sadly passed away in May. Throughout her stay there she was treated with dignity, kindness and a great sense of fun. The staff knew her so well and were always in touch to let us know how she was and what activities
she was involved in. They became like a second family to us all and their kindness and compassion during her final days was amazing. I would have no hesitation in recommending Priors Mead Care Home to anyone looking for a small family home with wonderful staff and management.

A really lovely home with a very good attitude to the residents, everyone is relaxed, cheerful and friendly, there is often something interesting going on and residents can choose different places to sit from the busy front room with its telly to the more peaceful sunny conservatory. The food is simple,
good and varied. The garden is a delight, and open to residents.
We feel very fortunate to have found it, and we would highly recommend it.

I'm the son-in-law of an elderly gentle lady who has been at the home for over a year.
I have been so impressed with the care and attention she has received throughout her time spent at Priors Mead. She now calls it home which is so nice and really enjoys the various activities put on each week. It's

Priors Mead Care Home continue to look after my father so well. They take him out on trips and keep him occupied with new ideas. His memory is a little shaky at 101 (nearly 102) but he is very happy. Great staff who really care for the residents.

I have nothing but the highest praise for Priors Meade. My mother has been there pretty much since the start of the pandemic and it has been of great comfort to know that she is being kept safe and well looked after by the fabulous staff at this wonderful care home. Lovely room, lovely garden lots of
activities and trips out when possible. We are kept well informed of developments and have always been able to visit when government guidance has permitted. Lovely place and would thoroughly recommend it.

My father has been a resident at Priors Mead for nearly 7 months now. It took him a while to settle in, especially as he had always been very independent and doesn’t like to ask for help, but he’s improved physically with regular care and food, and it’s great to see him taking a more active part in
activities, though he does still need encouragement to do so. He particularly likes the music, especially the harpist, who he had previously booked himself for his 90th birthday a few years ago.


We chose Priors Mead because it was small and felt more homely when we visited, and this was particularly noticeable at the fireworks party arranged last year when everyone was encouraged to participate. The staff have coped amazingly with difficult conditions due to Covid, including a recent small outbreak which was well maintained and we were kept regularly informed throughout and were able to maintain contact through calls on Alexa, in spite of challenges with missing hearing aids!

It has been nearly a year now since my mother went to live at Priors Mead Care Home. It takes a while to settle in but she is gradually doing so. Covid restrictions haven't made things easy and Priors Mead Care Home have done a great job in keeping everyone safe, complying with government guidance and
doing their best to enable residents to be able to meet up with their loved ones in the most practical manner.


My mother has been lonely at times - it is difficult moving into a care home after so many years of independence. But the staff have been fantastic - they recognise when a resident needs more help or support and are always on hand. My mother has enjoyed the activities, the pampering and the odd glass of wine - and keeps in regular contact with her family through the phone in her room. Thank you Priors Mead Care Home for all that you have done over the last year.

My mother has been a resident at Priors Mead Care Home for over 12 months and has thoroughly enjoyed the pampering she gets. When Covid started and the stories of the fatalities in several care homes became known, my sister and I were concerned about the possibility of it getting into Priors Mead Care
Home.


Recently, we have been so impressed with the care and attention that the staff have given to protect their residents from the virus after one member of staff caught it. The staff here are so thoughtful of what's best for the residents and also their family members. We are constantly updated with news and events that are taking place - what more could you want from a quality care home?

A huge thank you to all of the team at Priors Mead Care Home. From all of the wonderful activities for residents to those open to the families too, their day-to-day care as well as quickly and efficiently managing the recent covid outbreak, their service has been wonderful. I always feel welcome when
visiting my grandma which makes her feel comfortable in receiving my visit. Her room is small but functional with wonderful views of Reigate hill.

Mum has been at Priors Mead Care Home for almost a year. She settled in very quickly with the support and care from the dedicated staff and friendliness of residents. She has a cosy room which is warm and comfortable with ensuite facilities. There are regular newsletters keeping relatives informed of
all the activities that residents can join in - the activities are varied, fun and stimulating, ranging from armchair yoga to a harp recital! There was even a visit to a live ballet at the local theatre! A Summer outdoor party with a steel band was arranged in August to which relatives were invited which was a lovely occasion.
All the staff are kind and caring. When visiting there is always a happy atmosphere. The managers are fantastic, very professional and approachable. Nothing is too much trouble. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Priors Mead.

My mother has resided happily at Priors Mead for over 2 years now during which time her health, physical and mental health has improved immensely. The kind and caring staff (and fellow residents) have become her second family. There are regular activities tailored to the resident's needs, desires and
interests, to ensure mental and physical stimulation. During these difficult times with COVID, the residents have been kept safe with no instance of COVID in the home, whilst still ensuring family contact. The family are kept informed and included where possible. The whole family (including my mother) are happy with our mother’s care and feel it was the best choice we could have made.

Priors Mead has been looking after my mother for 1 year now. The staff are fantastic, caring and highly professional. Their empathy and professionalism have been exceptional since the beginning of the pandemic. The staff have done their best to keep the morale high, and to make us feel connected to
our loved ones as much as possible. Given the difficult circumstances, the staff have done their best to keep the residents busy with various indoor activities. I feel reassured Priors Mead is the second best place to home for my mother.

Mum has been at Priors Mead since January this year and she and the whole family are absolutely delighted by the care and attention she has been getting ever since. Mum can be quite challenging at times and every member of the Priors Mead staff takes this in their stride. She was previously in a much
larger, more expensive place which had all new hotel-style facilities but she disliked this because of its sheer size. Once she moved to Priors Mead she was considerably happier. In addition, the family noticed that her tendency to have urinary tract infections reduced dramatically. These infections affected her cognitive abilities subtly or if allowed to develop, quite seriously. The fab people at Priors Mead normally head off any such a problem long before it gets serious because, as a smaller residence, they all know Mum well now and notice small changes in her mood and behaviour. Finally, I cannot fault the staff's dedication to keeping everyone safe during the pandemic - I thank them so much.
