This year has been a very difficult one for everyone, but the level of care for my mother during the pandemic has been excellent. I have not had to worry about her despite not being able to see her for several months. The staff have all tried to make it as easy as possible to continue as normally as
we can.

The care for my stepfather and the relationships built are clearly seen. I cannot fault how caring they all are. The only area I feel the care home needs to improve on is the refurbishment (which is happening and ongoing). Renaissance definitely needs a brighten up. My stepfather has always complained
about the standards of the food. I think this is really the only area that needs to be worked on. He even moaned about it on my visit on 11/9. Other than than, Sunrise of Esher can't do enough for us and Covid has been handled professionally!

Finding a care home during Covid was extremely difficult. The information on the website was clear, open and complete - nothing hidden. Our 'virtual' tour and the time given to us and spent with my mother-in-law was never too much trouble and the friendliness and patience of staff amazing. Moving in
was very easy and although the isolation, until screening results came back, was difficult, we were all impressed as to how things were managed. I hope that this continues to be the case! So far a very positive experience - you came highly recommended and haven't disappointed.

The 2 women that carried out my mother's initial assessment were lovely, friendly and professional. My mother described all the care home staff as extremely pleasant, especially the woman who helped settle her in on her first day. My mother said her room and the view was lovely, and the food was great.

Joined: 2013

I joined here as a Senior Care Assistant in 2013, progressed to Reminiscence Coordinator, managed the Assisted Living Department, and now I am overseeing both departments as a Deputy Manager since September 2019. I also supported the General Manager with Clinical Requirements and the Activities Coordinator with our Activities Programme. In August 2023 I was promoted to General Manager position.


I have been given the opportunity to develop my skills, learn and progress. I am a qualified physiotherapist with a hospital and private sector background. I hold Diploma Level 5 in Health and Social Care. I am passionate about care and dedicated to providing a high-quality service tailored to each person's individual needs. I am proud to be part of the Esher Team.

I joined Signature at Esher as a Senior Care Assistant Wellbeing in February 2019, I was then promoted to Dementia Care Manager in November 2019. I have been working in the care sector since 2003 and I was originally a nurse in my home country. I have managed two Residential Care Homes previously and I hold Level 4 in Health and Social Care. I enjoy working with elderly people, especially with dementia and the smile on their faces gives me a sense of achievement. I joined in September 2010 as a Senior Care Assistant in the Reminiscence Neighbourhood. I progressed to be the Business Office Coordinator in January 2012. Starting out in the kitchen, I have been fortunate to build my career from kitchen Commis Chef to General Manager within four and five-star hotels in both the private and branded sectors.


Along the way I have been able to travel extensively both in the UK and Internationally, working alongside many creative individuals, teams and cultures. My journey has also included hotel openings, rebranding, concept development and major renovations.


I am now excited to take my next career step into the healthcare sector, something I have been considering since closing down Hendon Hall as a hotel and prior to handing over to Signature at the beginning of 2019, and know my passion for people, food and service will transition smoothly across from hotels.
