Situated in the quiet village of Wormley, Surrey Hills is a 19th-century Victorian country manor that overlooks acres of natural beauty and is a privately owned care home, providing nursing care for 45 older people with dementia.

Acquired by CHD Living in 1989, Surrey Hills is located next to the famous King Edward's school, and is adjacent to its sister home, Surrey Heights, which was the former country home of novelist and poet, George Eliot.

Offering a comfortable, inviting space for older individuals, Surrey Hills benefits from carefully designed interiors, unique infrastructure and beautiful views of the Surrey countryside.

With a primary focus on specialist dementia care, the skilled team at Surrey Hills strive to deliver person-centred care and companionship to those living with organic and induced dementia. Meanwhile, a secondary focus is given to residential, respite and nursing dementia. No matter the type of care offered, all residents can expect high-quality service in a friendly environment, allowing them to live their lives, their way.

Individually tailored activities and outings are offered to residents on a regular basis, and a variety of health and wellbeing services are offered on-site. Residents are able to choose between several relaxation spaces, too, from comfortable lounge areas to peaceful outdoor retreats.

Care is delivered to suit the needs of the individual, and a team of trained, compassionate staff give residents the care and attention they need with dignity and respect. To enhance and support the dementia care provided, planning is underway to modernise and develop a dementia care village.

My mother went into Surrey Hills only 1 week ago, after 9 weeks in hospital where she got very depressed. I was very worried about how she would settle in but I really didn't need to. The staff are all so lovely, kind and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. My Mum has said she is happy there and
is improving with her mobility, eating and is generally happy. It has been the best move I think.

My Mother came into the home only a few days ago. I came to visit her today and was overwhelmed with the kindness and welcoming staff.
Mum had been in hospital for 9 weeks and the change in her in the short time of her being in your home is amazing. I can't thank you all enough I am sure mum is going
to be very happy with you.

My mother moved into Surrey Hills in January 2018 after living in another care home and then a period in psychiatric care due to her Alzheimer's. We are very happy with everything associated with Surrey Hills. The staff are lovely and friendly, are always available for a quick chat and most importantly,
mum settled in very well. The home is extremely clean and well decorated, with good facilities. The staff are well geared up to dealing with people with dementia (mum now has advanced dementia and they cope with her very well) and my sister and I are extremely happy with the service and care provided at Surrey Hills.

My husband has been at Surrey Hills since July 2017. He is well looked after and seems to be very fond of all the staff and carers. He enjoys his food and seems fairly content most of the time. Never asks to come home.

Two years ago my Dad came to this home and each time I am more and more impressed. The staff look after the residents so well, that even when I visit they are so respectful to the families. Anything you require they will do for you. They always keep you informed about everything from the family resident
to what is going on in the home. But apart from that, I am so happy that my Dad of 91 fits in so well and he is happy.

My Mother in law was in Surrey Hills for three years and the kindness and care was first class constantly. My husband and I never had any concerns about her welfare or treatment, the staff are superb. If only all care homes were like Surrey Hills we wouldn't have any worries about the treatment of our
elderly.
The Home is always spotless but most importantly the residents are looked after with respect. Communication was brilliant, always kept informed. The staff are always welcoming and polite.
Sadly my mother in law has now passed, but we know she had the best care, and will always remember the staff with much fondness. Thank you.

My mum has now been a resident at Surrey Hills for six years and throughout that time we have always been extremely happy with all aspects of the care that she is receiving.
I have full confidence that she is being cared for in a warm and friendly environment and I know that she is very happy there.
