Inside Whitebourne you'll find cosy lounges, a hair and beauty salon and an activities room. The generously sized bedrooms offer en-suite facilities and a 24-hour nurse call system, with some overlooking the lovely gardens, which have raised flower beds and a variety of seating areas.

I was very apprehensive about my mum moving into a care home, however, I could not have been more wrong. The staff at Whitebourne are excellent, going out of their way to support my mum every day (she has dementia) and making her feel at home. The activities coordinators (you know who you are!) are
amazing and keep my mum busy and entertained, thank you so much for looking after her.

The staff are always welcoming in relation to health and mental concerns, along with acting swiftly with any issues. Since the change of management, there has been a vast improvement throughout the home and staff. Excellent work by all in relation to covid, procedures, visits, care and understanding.

My mother has been staying here for the last 3 odd years and in that time this care home has become very professional, whilst still maintaining a friendly caring atmosphere. The staff are very attentive and approachable. They keep you informed if there are any issues. My mother has enjoyed her time

Mum is very happy here. The premises are clean. The staff are always friendly and helpful both to the residents and visitors. She is well looked after. The only downside is that because her legs are too weak for walking she needs a wheelchair to move around ahs has not been out of the care home in a
very long time.

My husband has been attending the day centre at Whitbourne for some years. Since new management, the centre has improved greatly. Every person I have come into contact with has been so kind and friendly and I do not know what I would do without this two day a week break. I cannot comment on the rooms
as we don't have one, due to my husband being a day centre resident.

Great impressions are given from the care home, with friendly staff and lots going on throughout our visit. Also, we noted that the signs were very clear with my grandad also mentioning this point. Easy to move around even if the building is a bit of a maze. Easy to also walk around and his room was
very clean and bright. Adds to a 'lively' atmosphere.

Mum is looked after really well by all the staff. They are all so friendly and attentive. Mum is always clean and comfortable and included in the activities. Dad has been using Whitebourne for respite and day centre services since September 2017. The day centre and care home staff are amazing. They always have a happy welcome ready on arrival and centre activities and care needs around each individual. As a family, we know Dad is in good hands at Whitebourne,

A pleasant, caring home for Mum and being improved still further. Convenient to get to and open all hours is reassuring. All these care homes are not all cheap, but Whitebourne is as good as you can get. Staff and management are to be commended. The challenge might be to get an 'excellent' review from

The staff and management have been helpful from the start. My mother-in-law is still settling in with staff help. The regular check-up has proved its worth when Mother was taken to hospital with a chest infection shortly after moving into Whitebourne. We visit very regularly and staff remain friendly
and helpful still eg guiding residents who are confused, checking up on the wellbeing of residents, administering medication etc. My wife and I are relieved the home is very good and are impressed.

My mother moved into Whitebourne on the death of my father who was her primary carer. The arrangements and care on that first day was brilliant I can not praise the staff highly enough for their care and handling of the situation.
Since then my mother has been settling in. She has good and bad days.
Dealing with the loss of her husband and her home. The staff are caring and understanding. Her general health has improved and she is making friends and coping. Well done, very very happy with the service.

With regards to activities, the lifestyle team support residents to continue with their own hobbies and interests, with daily activities that residents can choose from. We vary the activity programme to appeal to as many residents as possible and advertise these activities around the home, as well as producing a monthly activities diary to let people know what is going on. Whitebourne has certainly improved over recent months since the last CQC visit. More activities, more permanent staff, more visible staff 'on the floor', provision of drinks, snacks in lounges.
Residents always look clean and well cared for and seem happy generally. The new management team have certainly
upgraded the home to include 'homely' lounge and improved decor.

My mother has been a resident at Whitebourne for the last 1 1/2 years. Her first language is French, but through Dementia, she can no longer converse in English and her speech is very limited. However, the staff at Whitebourne have endeavoured through Google Translate and all their caring ways to ensure
she feels part of the Whitebourne community. I would also like to add, on every visit I make my observations of care are reassured.

My mother has been resident at Whitebourne Frimley since September 2014. She suffers with dementia and is very well cared for by the whole team of staff there. She is very happy in the home and comfortable in her environment.
She participates in the activities there and has a very nice en suite
room which overlooks the garden. The staff are very patient and kind and tolerant.

We are very happy with the care and support my mother is getting at Whitebourne. She has been a resident since June 2014 and has received excellent care. Accommodation and lounge areas are immaculate, medical and personal support are very good including feedback to relatives with food provision being
more than adequate. I am a great believer that any operation or service provider is as good as its lead manager and in Whitebourne, Care UK have an outstanding one. Long may she continue.

Job Title: Home Manager

I began working for Care UK in 2021, but I felt I knew the provider well – five other family members of mine work for Care UK care homes and have done for many years.


All Care UK homes have the same goal: to provide the best possible care for older people.


Before joining Whitebourne, I worked for another large care provider for almost 14 years. I worked my way up from Care Assistant to Head Housekeeper to Receptionist to Team Leader, Deputy Manager and finally Home Manager. I was always encouraged to apply for new roles, and the progress I’ve made is my proudest achievement.


I am always thinking about what is best for the residents we care for at Whitebourne, and it’s important as a Home Manager to be open-minded, honest and approachable. For me, the best part of the day is the end of the shift when I get to check that the residents are all safe and well, the home is cosy and warm, and the staff are all thanked for their work. I look forward to continuing to progress at Whitebourne and to leading our amazing team in providing excellent care.


When I’m not at work, I love spending quality time making memories with my family.
