Excellent Care Home.
My mother has been happy there since September 2023.
The staff are wonderful, patient, and caring.
The manager is excellent, enthusiastic, and truly cares about the residents. Activities are arranged daily.
I always feel welcome when I visit.
Spotless and welcoming environment.

Initially my father's behaviour was challenging due to his dementia, but staff made every effort to help him adjust to his new surroundings and help him settle and feel at home. When he was settled after a week or two he was included in activities in the day room and had support from therapists and
referrals to specialist teams when needed. When asked about his experience of his care, my father said that the staff were always kind, polite and he felt he was looked after well. This was also our experience as a family.

My wife has been at Wray Park Care Home for two months suffering from Vascular Dementia. All the staff are very caring, food is very good. Her room is well-maintained. A relaxed atmosphere and well-run care home dealing with approximately 20 residents of mainly dementia. I am very happy with the care
provided for my wife.

I personally find all the staff at Wray Park Care Home very helpful and my mother is also very thankful for all their assistance. My mother’s mobility is not very good and she is often in pain but the care that she receives is very much appreciated and although unable to leave her room she is involved
with the events as much as possible

In Wray Park Care home my mum is well cared for. When I have dropped in unannounced, I have never seen anything to suggest otherwise. She is always clean and tidy and so I get the impression that hygiene standards are at a good level. There is never any unpleasant smell in the home. I am happy for my
mum to be here and feel reassured that the staff take a kind approach. I have never heard anyone lose their patience or behave in any way to suggest a lack of understanding.
The people who care for my mum are a great bunch of unsung heroes who work really hard and deserve praise for keeping going through the pandemic and beyond. They turn up every day to provide excellent care for our older generation - not an easy job. Thank you!

My sister has been in Wray Park Care Home since 2018 and has dementia. The staff are kind and caring and catered well with the early troublesome behaviour of my sister, and continue to look after her ongoing special needs. They let me know when anything happens to her as I cannot visit very often, living
100 miles away. I have confidence in the care my sister receives. Wray Park is a small home so all staff know all the residents.

We visited Mum when we came over from Australia. We were really impressed with the level of care, staff interaction, cleanliness and overall positive vibe at the home. The building is of a high quality/standard and the gardens are very well maintained. With so many activities and outings, the residents
appeared happy and engaged. Mum has settled quickly and all of the staff interact well with her. The good leadership of the team shows in their actions.

One of my family friends has been in Wray Park since 2020. I have been meeting him since then. Previously he was a resident of other care homes and shifted to Wray Park in 2020. Wray Park Care Home is an amazing place for the residents who are in need of care for their daily routine. First of all, I
would like to give a big thanks to the Home Manager, she is well experienced and a very caring manager. She is emotional and provides good care to my friend. All the staff members are excellent and provide the utmost care to my friend. I have seen the compassion and love towards the residents of Wray Park, particularly from the Home Manager, she is so polite and responsible. A manager who is fulfilling all the needs of the residents. I can say this is the best place for a person who needs homely care and he/she will enjoy the place with utmost care. Once again thanks to the home manager and her team for providing support and care to my friend.

Just like to say a big thank you to all the team at Wray Park for taking great care of my father who has Alzheimer’s and dementia for his two-month stay.
We did not choose Wray Park by choice this was through the system after a stay at the hospital after breaking his collar bone.
When he left the
hospital my dad was underweight and had lost more communication skills. We were very anxious that my father was at Wray Park initially as it’s quite a journey for our family and out of the borough.
Within weeks they had fattened him up, improved his coordination skills, speech and even got him walking again!
We really can’t thank you enough. 5 stars all round.

I have not commented on food or activities as I have not witnessed these. Mum seems happy here and is always clean and tidy, my only negative is her nails are always dirty.

My mother first became a resident in 2016, so I feel I have extensive experience of Wray Park as an operational care service, the team and management. I can say, without a shadow of a doubt, my mother received the very best possible care from the most caring and professional team. As I live across the
country, my visits were not as frequent as I would wish (even before the current restrictions due to COVID), but whenever I turned up un-announced, it was clear that she had been well cared for. She was always well presented, and as happy as her condition would allow her to be. We are all too aware of how challenging it is to care for individuals who are not fully aware of their own condition, but the team at Wray Park have found a way to provide the right care and maintain the protection that is vital for their well being. If I had to make the choice again, I would not hesitate in choosing Wray Park.

Current Review Score: 9.5 (9.523)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.5 (9.523) out of 10 for Wray Park Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.6 out of 5 from 9 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.9 out of 5 from 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.623 for Wray Park Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (70 Excellents x 5) + (32 Goods x 4) + (4 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 106 Ratings = 4.623

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 4.9 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Wray Park Care Home is based on 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.9

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 24 registered maximum number of service users is 4.8, which has been reached with 9 Positive reviews. Points = 1

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
