My connection with Ashton Manor is fairly recent as my son became a resident just two months ago (December 2024). However I am reassured that my early questions and concerns have been met by the manager and staff, who have responded promptly and positively considering my queries. Contact with the staff
have been good whether on the phone or in person. I feel that he is being well cared for & with great patience as he was initially very unsettled. I am grateful to the staff for their support and care.

My son has been a resident at Ashton Manor since Dec 2023. I have been very impressed with the care and consideration shown to him at all times. The staff are always so welcoming and do everything they can to help. It is difficult to express how grateful I am for the way they have helped him to settle
into such a change of circumstances - but they have, and are doing - an excellent job.

My father has lived at Ashton Manor for just over a year now, the care team have always been helpful and friendly and have adapted their service, and my father's surroundings to suit his changing needs.
Their staff turnover is incredibly low and therefore it's the same friendly faces every time you
visit which must be very reassuring for their residents.
My father's health can change rapidly but I have every faith in the care team to look after his needs and to keep me informed as things change.
I and the rest of my family would like to say a big thank you to all the staff at Ashton Manor.

Coming to this care home I had some reservations. However, the staff were very friendly and easy to talk to. The home is very well run with a lot of initiatives to keep everyone pulling the same way and happy and relaxed. The food is especially good and delicious and there are plenty of options. The
staff work very hard and have a good sense of humour. Generally, there are many things which make this home a good option.

My dad who has dementia became a resident last year and I cannot fault the home at all. They take really good care of him and do lots of days out which he loves and he is extremely happy there. He loves the fold and the staff are wonderful and always happy to talk to me about any concerns or questions
I may have. Would definitely recommend this home.

Following a difficult time in her own home, my mum's mood and health have improved considerably. She is now happy and cheery when I visit which is such a relief. She has settled in well and is well looked after by staff and enjoys the regular outings with other residents. The facilities and rooms are
always clean and tidy. Can't thank the staff enough for the care and support they provide.

Current Review Score: 9.3 (9.327)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.3 (9.327) out of 10 for Ashton Manor is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.6 out of 5 from 7 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.7 out of 5 from 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.627 for Ashton Manor is calculated as follows: ( (52 Excellents x 5) + (31 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 83 Ratings = 4.627

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 4.7 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Ashton Manor is based on 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.7

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 22 registered maximum number of service users is 4.4, which has been reached with 7 Positive reviews. Points = 1

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
