Staff at Augusta Court are committed to providing a caring, friendly atmosphere. My dad received an outstanding level of care at Augusta Court. I am aware of the care and kindness shown by all who work there.
My mum was also at Augusta Court where she received great palliative care, dignity and respect.

During this last period, my sister required hospitalisation following injuries sustained in a tumble. The rapport between the NHS and Augusta Court was noticed and appreciated. It is very reassuring to see the depth of the care she is receiving with you. Thank you.

My relative has been at Augusta Court for over a year and every time I visit, I am impressed by the genuine care and interest given both to my relative but also the other residents. The home is run to high standards and all the staff ensure those standards are met. It is always clean, sweet smelling
and there are no secret areas. The food is excellent and produced from fresh ingredients and the catering staff are very much part of the team. Any concerns about my relative have always been met with a helpful attitude and followed up with action. There always seems to be smiles at Augusta, for the staff and for the residents. A hug and a kiss given to residents by staff has an immediate effect and helps make this a home where residents feel welcome and settled. When I have seen difficulties arise, the training staff have been given help to deal with or overcome problems. If I needed this type of care, I would be happy to join the Augusta Court family.

Carers are both professional and compassionate, they treat residents with kindness and respect. Residents are kept safe, this was of concern to the family in the past. Senior carers always find time to discuss with relatives issues relating to residents. Medical needs are well provided for residents.
In my opinion service of laundry should have a person in charge because things can go missing.

We had to place our sister in care as she is suffering from dementia and after several visits to various homes, we arrived at Augusta Court. It was like a breath of fresh air with lovely friendly staff and an amazing atmosphere enabling its residents to get the most out of their lives.

Having a relative in a care home is difficult enough - Augusta Court does feel like a home from home rather than a generic care setting. This is because residents have individual flatlets which give them their own private space and these flats can be personalised, tea and coffee facilities, fridges
etc normalise the situation and give relatives some privacy if desired when visiting.
Staff members treat relatives with dignity and respect and are mostly cheerful and committed. Team leaders are particularly able and are good mentors for younger less experienced staff. Managers are always available to listen to concerns and act when necessary and communication is good between the home and relatives.

My mother has vascular dementia and normally lives in her own home with the help of carers. Due to a temporary lack of carers, she went into Augusta Court for three weeks. They acted quickly and efficiently to assess and admit her. She had a pleasant room with ensuite and a walk in shower. She settled
well and was sorry to leave. All the staff were very kind and helpful and the is well-ran.

My father moved into Augusta Court when he could no longer manager at home and spent the last two weeks of his life there. He was very well looked after by kind and caring staff. Sadly he passed away before he truly settled in. I have no hesitation in recommending Augusta Court, an immaculate home with
supportive staff.

From the first day that I visited a married couple that came to Augusta Court, I knew it was good. Not only good but the best home I have ever visited. The staff are friendly and make you welcome. I can pay for a home dinner, which is first class home made food. The décor is great, plenty of activity
for them. Even the chef said it's the best home he has worked in. It is the kind of home I would like to stay at when my time comes. I am now only 70 and owned my own Residential Home for Dementia and Alzheimer's for 20 years but now retired and that was nice too.

The care is excellent. The staff are always welcoming and helpful and I have never known a call for help ignored. The food is patchy and sometimes not well cooked i.e. carrots hard while green vegetables cooked far too long and the menus are very repetitive. This refers to lunch which I have with my
husband on the four days a week that I visit him. The meat is often very tough and the fish often nearly raw or overcooked. Maintenance of building not good. Control of radiator in the room seems faulty - room is often very cold and even communal room cold. But the standard of care is excellent.

My aunt moved into this care home in September 2016 and despite always having wanted to stay at home, settled in really quickly and easily and is happy to be there. The staff were all so helpful before she moved in, listening to and sorting out our many requests and queries. They treat each new resident
as an individual and listen to what they want and action it. Aunty is making new friends and joining in activities happily. Thank you Augusta Court - you're the best!

My aunt came to live at Augusta Court in March 2012. At that time she was highly anxious and awaiting further medical tests. The staff were immediately welcoming and did all they could to help my aunt relax and feel at home. As my aunt's dementia has got worse the staff have sensitively adapted her
care plan to meet her changing needs. The staff are very caring and patient and are always positive and encouraging. I appreciate it is not easy to work with people who have dementia and the staff make every effort to be flexible and do their utmost to provide as much quality of life for residents as possible. Keep up the excellent standards!


I think the care at Augusta Court is as good as it humanly can be. I live at a distance and appreciate the way that staff contact me with any concerns. I have recommended Anchor as a provider to friends who live away from West Sussex, who are considering provision for their own elderly relatives.

After nearly 60 years of married life, it was always going to be heart-wrenching to find care for my husband, but given the present circumstances, I believe that we have found the very best in Augusta Court. It certainly lives up to it's title of CARE HOME. The care shown by all the staff is excellent
and the atmosphere is of a friendly, family home. The staff work as a team lead by good managers and team leaders and show thought and understanding of individual needs of the residents. Activities are provided every day and now special thought is given to those who cannot take part. From the outside, the building is not inspiring but inside it is warm and welcoming, light and bright with wide corridors, open spaces and pleasant en-suite flatlets, but it is the quality of staff that matters. Without their hard work and dedication, Augusta Court would not be the place of peace, security and contentment that it is.

Our mother was struggling for quite a while at home and we knew the time was approaching where she would need 24/7 observation. Augusta Court has been excellent in providing support for our mother. She has now been there for just over 3 yrs. The surroundings are always clean and tidy. The staff are
friendly, welcoming and attentive to our mother and to us when visiting. They are always looking to try new ideas and provide new stimulus in what must be, sometimes, difficult circumstances. Occasionally there are, inevitably, concerns or issues and we have always found the staff approachable and professional. All in all, we have been very pleased with the support our mother gets and feel we can relax and know she is in good hands.

My mother was given a wonderful welcome in Feb 2015 and was looked after very well by caring and friendly staff- many of whom she became fond of, and they of her. Gradually her health deteriorated due to old age- she liked being there- we didn't want to move her away from the friendly staff caring for
her and she died in Jan 2016. I was with her and my brother as well and the staff were very helpful and supportive to us too. Thank you to all those involved- such lovely, hard working, friendly and kind people.
