The Bill House is a stunning Grade II Listed beachfront Care Home designed and built in 1907 by M H Baillie Scott in the famous Arts and Crafts style. It is a truly delightful home, situated on the tip of Selsey Bill, with fantastic and unobstructed views and access to the sea. It is positioned in tranquil surroundings on grounds of over 2 acres with views to the Isle of Wight and the Solent.

New for 2022 - The award winning designer Sensory Garden is now open! Designed by Annie Guilfoyle, this sanctuary is a haven for clients, stimulating all the senses and vibrant with year round colour and scents. It is fully accessible and sheltered seating provides the idyllic location to sit and listen to the waves of the channel.

All bedrooms have en-suite facilities and are spacious and furnished to a high standard. Sea view rooms are available on request. The lounges are spacious and elegant, one adjoining a very large patio directly overlooking the sea and the formal gardens.

The house is surrounded by two acres of landscaped gardens well laid out with lawns and flower beds extending to the beach. Each section of the garden has its own theme surrounded by native trees and hedges.

All staff and management are passionate about providing a home to the residents, through high quality care and support and a dedicated care team that cater to the specific needs of each individual. The directors have over 60 years of experience in providing excellent Care Homes, and this is evident in client and family feedback. The Bill House offers 24 hour care and support for the older person and people with physical disabilities and mental health, including dementia.

The staff and management provide high quality care and support in a beautiful home so that you and your loved ones can continue to live the life you choose.

My dad was at the Bill House for just over 6 months and I couldn't fault the care he received. It was more like being looked after by friends who took the time to get to know the person and not just care by numbers. My dad had advanced dementia when he came in but his last months were made as happy
and comfortable as possible, my only regret is that he did not go in much earlier where he could have enjoyed the activities and the garden with such a lovely sea view. Thank you all.

My father was moved to The Bill House primarily because of his dementia, however he also presented with many other medical issues so it was important we found the right setting for him. Right from our first meeting with the manager at The Bill House we were reassured that this would be a place that
he could move to and be well cared for. We were not wrong. The staff could not have been more attentive, kind and understanding to our father, always cheerful and respectful, both amongst themselves and to all the residents. The team here are amazing, the setting is incredibly beautiful and we always knew Dad was receiving the best possible care and attention right to the end. I could not recommend the manager and her team highly enough for the care of anyone's loved one.

We have found the staff to be caring, polite and helpful. My mother is well looked after and we don't have to worry. Also, the house is in an excellent location. The staff were so supportive when my father passed away and they ensured my mother was happy.

Our dear mother had dementia and moved to the Bill House, she had a wonderful last 6 months at the Bill House and was looked after so beautifully by the kind and gentle staff.
The staff always went out of their way to make our mother happy and were very patient and kind we could not have wanted a better
place.
I visited many care homes before choosing the Bill House and it was by far the most homely, tasteful and stylish of any homes I saw.
The Bill House is so unique it feels like someone's lovely country house. The setting is incredible overlooking the sea and has a fantastic calmness. Our Mother especially loved the tiled conservatory room that overlooked the sea and the beautiful bedroom with sea views.
I am so thrilled that I finally found the Bill House after months of depressing research at many other care homes. The staff are truly selfless and kind and a special thanks to Irene who always had time for everyone.

My mother spent the last eight months of her life at The Bill House, including her 100th birthday. She was suffering from bad Alzheimer's, including being rude to everyone. I cannot speak too highly of this care home and its staff. It is a dementia-specialist home and so the staff have to have infinite
reserves of patience. This they do have. I never saw staff chatting amongst themselves and ignoring residents, instead they were always engaging with the residents in a good-humoured way. And you know that stale urine smell you get in a care home? It's not there at The Bill House. The rooms are clean, but more importantly the residents are clean. For my mother's 100th birthday party they made their summer house available for a Sunday family party, and then a few days later on her actual birthday they threw their own party for her in the home. And did I mention the location? Right by the beach with a huge garden and lawns. I cannot recommend this home too highly.

Residents are well cared for, and over the last month, have been provided with a range of stimulating activities. A beautiful beach view and gardens are very well kept.
I feel happy that Mum's needs are always taken care of and she is well supported.
Better communication would greatly improve the
service, such as a timely update on how the resident is progressing/deteriorating or being notified of appointments that have taken place.
Management is available when needed, and problems are dealt with swiftly.
A lovely home.

We are very pleased with the care my Dad receives at The Bill House. The carers are very friendly towards him and me and I know he is in safe hands. Due to covid restrictions, we were unable to see the accommodation and I cannot comment fully on value for money as I haven't been involved in the financial affairs. The visit was extremely well organised. The staff greeted us very kindly. The security was very good. A maintenance staff member was also
very kind, polite and helpful. The facilities we did see were clean and well-maintained. My auntie is treated kindly and professionally. Overall, extremely impressed with the home and staff. Many thanks.

Our registered manager, Amanda, has worked in care for more than 11 years, starting as a carer for a domiciliary care company then working her way up to team leader, deputy manager and then to care manager.

I pride myself on being approachable, so I welcome all ideas from staff, residents and families to ensure all are involved in decision-making to foster a great culture within our care home.”

Our other co-founder, Diane Alexander trained at the London Hospital before moving to Basingstoke for her mental health training.
