I have found Forest view to be a good place for my husband. The carers seem to be exceptional people who really care for their patients.

My husband has been in Forest View for a number of years. He is very happy here. His condition has deteriorated because of his dementia, but he has been cared for wonderfully. The staff are very caring.

Ideal songs and dance for patients and visitors on Valentines Day. Patients came alive and smiled, sang and clapped to the music. Drinks and food laid on and decorations made it a lovely afternoon for all. The couple who played and sang were excellent. Very well organised.

This is our first experience of day and residential care. The staff have been very supportive of my husband and myself. My husband has Parkinson's and dementia - and is younger than most people using this service - and has needed some extra care and support as he is aware that others are more in need
and this has worried him. He has settled well and come to enjoy daycare and is still acclimatising to respite.

My mother who had been a resident in Forest view since January 2013, passed away on 15th January 2020. During her time in Forest View, the staff had provided a level of care for her and her dementia that was truly exceptional. I will always be eternally grateful for all that the staff did for my mother
during her time in Forest View.

Forest View is all I could wish for as a safe, friendly, clean, professional care home for my mum. Staff are fabulous and go above and beyond! I have peace of mind that my mum is getting the best possible care in a wonderful environment where the staff really do care and is safe. Mum loves having her
hair and nails done and the freedom to wander around - she is in a happy place.

What a wonderful place! I have met a lot of the staff during my visits to Forest View and they have all been fantastic. Everyone is so nice and kind and thoughtful, not just to us visitors, but to all of the residents. The care shown to everyone is 2nd to none, I know that my future mother-in-law is
very happy to be at Forest View which makes us happy. The residents can wander at their leisure knowing they are looked after, the food is terrific also.

I have been extremely happy with her care and feel blessed to have such a wonderful team of kind, caring people attending to her every need.
We couldn't be happier with her "home away from home".

Forest View is a lovely facility, I looked at it with my Sister in law prior to my mother in law being homed there. It is a clean, modern building, with modern furnishings, it appeared to tick all of the boxes.


However, we were very disappointed with the level of care. Forest view are unable to

take blood pressure, my mother in law had a urine infection which was not picked up and she suffered for longer than she should have done.


The menu is very basic and we were told they didn't have the budget to offer fresh fruit. My mother in law always ate wholemeal bread at home but each time we visited she always had a white bread sandwich, we asked about this and were told she had the choice, though we were left in doubt.


My mother in law is now at another facility and 4 weeks on Forest View have still not returned all of my mother in law's clothes, we have been told they must be in the laundry which I find unacceptable given laundry is done on site.


I would not recommend Forest view, all that glitters really isn't gold.

My father was a resident at Forest View for just under a year. He was treated so well and his care and support were maintained to a high standard throughout. Sadly we 'lost' him on Christmas day but again he and the family were supported and cared for during this difficult time. Importantly, the dignity
of him as an individual was always there.

My father has settled well and we find him very relaxed and open. The fact that he can walk about from his room to the lounge/dining area and also through all the other open areas is of great benefit to him. The staff treat him with respect and great kindness.

My Wife's Aunt moved into Forest view in March 2018. All staff, from Manager, cleaner all treat her with respect and are all very friendly. When visiting, we note care being given to other residents and cannot fault what we see. We, as visitors, always receive a cheerful welcome. We are offered refreshments.
We have not been able to fault care being given to my relative.

Forest View has some excellent and caring members of staff. There are some cleaners who also care for residents by chatting to them, leading them to their rooms, looking for lost items and above all being friendly. I don't expect these things are in their job description but it makes a real difference.
Several carers go beyond the call of duty and show great kindness and awareness.

My mother is a resident at Forestview and she is extremely happy there and well looked after. I have nothing but appreciation for all the hardworking staff that work there. It's a shame that their efforts can't be rewarded and reflected in their pay packets. For what is a vital service, they don't
get paid nearly enough and for all those staff members that look after my mother, and other residents, at night, I was shocked to discover that they don't get paid any extra for working unsociable hours.
