My Mum is well cared for, always in clean pyjamas and bedding. The staff are lovely and can't do enough for us. If there is a problem they phone immediately and keep the family informed. Mum appears to be quite happy here which is a comfort to us.

Mum is very happy in her own world at Elizabeth House.
Always dressed clean and tidy.
Her room is kept beautifully clean and tidy too.
There are activities for her to join in from games, arts and crafts and music.
Everyone is very helpful and friendly.

My mum has been in Elizabeth house since October she seems very settled and happy. The staff are very friendly and helpful always got time for you always offer tea or coffee. Always contact you to let you know what is going on with mum very pleased with mums care.

My mum had two weeks respite care at Elizabeth House and I can't thank them enough. All the staff were so friendly and caring and they couldn't do enough for her. It's beautifully clean and my mum said it was a joy to be there so much so she asked me to book her in again soon. I really recommend this
place it's like home from home. Thank you Elizabeth House and staff.

My uncle is looked after fantastic all the staff care with love and dignity.
The staff keep me updated with any changes in my uncle's care.
He likes to speak to me on the phone which they let him do whenever he wishes to. All welcoming.

My nan has been at Elizabeth House for over a year now and the staff are very friendly and nan is always happy when I come to see her. I love the app as I get updates on how nan is doing it is sure a nice place. It's a 10 out of 10 for me.

My mother has settled into the home well; there are a variety of activities for her to participate in and outings for her to go on. She does enjoy singing so it would be good if there were opportunities for her to join in some joint singing activities.
The place is light and airy with pleasant communal
areas. The staff have all been friendly and welcoming.

Warmly welcomed when visiting my mother and offered tea and coffee. I can see how happy my mother is and that she is well cared for and settled in well.
The app and magazine is fantastic, not only for my mother to be able to see our news, but as a family we can catch up with each other's news! Also,
helps us know what activities are taking place. It would be nice to have a 'sing-a-long' as an alternative to a singer that they just listen to. My mother loves singing and would join in, but finds sitting and listening to a singer too noisy.

My mother has been a resident at Elizabeth House since last May and has settled in extremely well, no longer saying she is lonely (which she did before residing here). There are many activities she can participate in, including using her creative skills in arts and crafts. The staff are always kind
and welcoming and I feel my mother has choices to still feel independent alongside reassurance that her needs are met.

My mum has been a resident at Elizabeth House for almost a year and we couldn't have chosen a better place for her. She has dementia but it hasn't deteriorated much since she moved there. The staff are all extremely kind and caring and she gets so much mental stimulation that I believe this has really
helped her. She has a lovely room which is always clean and tidy. They keep me informed in a timely manner of any changes to Mum's health or medication and are always happy to help with anything that she needs. Everybody at Elizabeth House seems genuinely caring and compassionate and it always has such a lovely atmosphere.

A very friendly environment. Staff are welcoming to visitors and are there to answer any queries or worries always keep me informed of any incidents even minor ones. I noticed they encourage the residents to join in the activities they offer or coffee mornings etc. Elizabeth House is very homely and
safe, residents seem to be looked after sometimes on a one-to-one basis. All the staff seem to me as very caring and understanding.

My mother-in-law is very well cared for by the brilliant staff team, especially the Team Leader who has been very supportive to me and my late wife. My mother-in-law is safe and secure that's all anyone would wish for when having to put loved ones into care. I try and visit her as often as I can, since
moving away from West Sussex this Aug to Wiltshire. My most recent visit was on Wednesday 6th November, she was pleased to see me and quite happy in her own little world. A trip to Hotham Park for tea and cake a belated birthday treat. The staff are always on hand to offer support when leaving mum, as she gets upset when I go. I rate the care and support as above and beyond and know I can trust she is in the safest place.


I would like to just mention that this is not a negative more of an observation. I noticed at the bottom of my mother-in-law's wardrobe lots of her clothes had fallen down and it was hard to find a pair of shoes or boots to go out in.

My mum is looked after by the amazing staff at Elizabeth House. My mum has never been happier and the overall experience so far is positive in helping with her dementia. Her room is a good size with en suite facilities hat ensure that my mum has full privacy and the staff give the upmost respect to

My Mum has been in Elizabeth House for just over a year now and I cannot thank the staff enough for the care they take of her. She is always happy and makes jokes with them and I know that they enjoy looking after her. Not only that, my 93-year-old dad pays regular weekly visits and they look after
him whilst he is there as well. I would highly recommend Elizabeth House.

Mum has been a resident at Elizabeth House for a full year now. She has settled well. The staff have always encouraged her to join in activities which she thoroughly enjoys, especially the music entertainment. It is also very welcoming to receive photos via the app. We also send photos for the gazette
which mum receives.
Dad visits each week, and the staff always make him welcome. He is always treated to a nice coffee and a piece of homemade cake or biscuits.

When visiting this place the staff are very friendly and helpful. My aunt is being so well looked after which is so reassuring as we live a long way away (160 miles away) so visiting is only occasionally. My aunt has dementia but since being in this home her confidence has improved dramatically and
seeing her as happy as she is is wonderful - priceless. Thank you to everyone you are amazing people.

My great uncle is a resident, he is well cared for at Elizabeth House. The staff are very caring and engage with all the residents. I always feel welcome and get a report on how my great uncle is doing and what activities he has been doing. He is very happy here and very well cared for.

Marian

Marian Drake

Job Title: Service Manager

Joined: 2008

Marian has worked in care for over 36 years initially in the London boroughs, where her knowledge grew and matured around the delivery of care for older people.


In 2008, Marian began her career with Shaw Healthcare, taking on the post of Home Manager at The Martlets in East Preston. Marian stayed there for 5 years where she brought together a great team delivering the care you would want for your own Mum.


Marian has always been passionate about dementia care so when Elizabeth House was advertising for a manager, it seemed to her the perfect place. In 2014, Marian took on the post of Home Manager at Elizabeth House. Over the past years, Marian has made several positive changes to the environment in the home, enhancing and enriching the resident's lives.


When not at work, Marian enjoys spending time with her husband, meeting up with her children, grandchildren and most recently welcoming her third great-grandchild along with walking her new pup Kokomo, a little bit of gardening time is also enjoyed.

Clare Harris

Job Title: Deputy Manager

Joined: 2020

Clare joined Elizabeth House, Bognor Regis in April 2020 as Deputy Manager. Clare’s passion is in dementia care because making a difference to the service users is paramount in ensuring their mental and emotional wellness needs are met to enjoy a good quality of life.


Clare enjoys sharing her knowledge in care, with younger members of staff, supporting their progression and passion in care.
