I am very happy that my mother is cared for at Elizabeth House. She always looks neat and tidy and the staff take the trouble to coordinate her clothes nicely.
Staff are in the main, friendly and very helpful and any concerns are dealt with efficiently. Activities and entertainment are regular and
very good with excellent interaction.

The home is run so well, patients are looked after so well, they all seem happy, lots of activities for the residents. Staff are really helpful, the bedrooms are clean and the home is kept nice at all times. They have lots going on to keep the residents active, friends and family can join in as well.
Everyone is so friendly which makes it more like home.
We can have lunch with our friend and then sit in the lovely garden with a nice tea or coffee and have a good natter or we can go to her room. She has plenty of privacy which I think is good. Can't fault the home.

My dear wife is a resident of Elizabeth House Care Home, she has been a resident now for 18 months during which time she has needed various types of care, mainly due to the cruel progress dementia takes.


I can honestly say I am extremely pleased with the way carers and all staff have been making

sure my wife is extremely comfortable at all times. She is receiving the very best care possible. I can sleep at night knowing she is safe.

Bearing in mind that my father has only been a resident for a few months we the family are very happy with his care. The staff from management down are very approachable listen and act upon any constructive requests. They are in contact immediately should the need require to either advise of request
info. I feel that we work well together and enjoy to see how they encourage family interaction. All medical needs are dealt with promptly and with expertise. Daddy's interaction skills are much improved also his independence and mobility.

We visited our dad today and it was very nice. He was relaxed and in good humour. The staff we encountered were friendly. He has a walk in the garden and we all had tea and biscuits.

My husband spent two years at Elizabeth House. The staff and care here are both excellent. Everyone knows family members by first names, which is nice. The rooms and all areas are kept very clean and tidy. We have both been very happy with every aspect here. Unfortunately, his needs became more than
Elizabeth House could cope with, so with regret, he has had to be moved to a care home with nursing. We miss you all, patients and staff.
He has settled into his new place well, the move doesn't seem to have upset him.
Thank you all so much for taking such great care of him.

I visited a friend at Elizabeth House this morning, and wow. This is how care for the elderly should be. Spotlessly clean, caring, friendly and easily approachable staff. Nothing is a bother to them. I would be happy to know that this place is available for myself if/when I need the appropriate care.

My mother died recently after spending four years at Elizabeth House. She was 99 years old when she died and suffered from vascular dementia. The staff at Elizabeth House are fantastic and the care mum received was exemplary. She was always well-dressed and smart with regular hair appointments and manicures.
The environment was stimulating and the staff attentive and provided good interaction. The residents are treated with respect and affection. I recommend this care home very highly.

My husband has been to Elizabeth House for respite over the last couple of years. Each time he has settled very well as the staff are so friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere on entering is very pleasant and welcoming. Cleanliness of the rooms and all areas are excellent and the design of the floors
are particularly good for those with Alzheimer's. I always feel content when he is there for respite. I do not worry as I know he is in the best of hands and I am able to rest. He enjoys every meal and the staff are very kind to him and he enjoys their company.

Having relations in other care homes I can honestly say Elizabeth House is by far the best I have encountered. A lovely, happy environment, with fantastic, caring and friendly staff. My uncle could not be better cared for.

Marian

Marian Drake

Job Title: Service Manager

Joined: 2008

Marian has worked in care for over 36 years initially in the London boroughs, where her knowledge grew and matured around the delivery of care for older people.


In 2008, Marian began her career with Shaw Healthcare, taking on the post of Home Manager at The Martlets in East Preston. Marian stayed there for 5 years where she brought together a great team delivering the care you would want for your own Mum.


Marian has always been passionate about dementia care so when Elizabeth House was advertising for a manager, it seemed to her the perfect place. In 2014, Marian took on the post of Home Manager at Elizabeth House. Over the past years, Marian has made several positive changes to the environment in the home, enhancing and enriching the resident's lives.


When not at work, Marian enjoys spending time with her husband, meeting up with her children, grandchildren and most recently welcoming her third great-grandchild along with walking her new pup Kokomo, a little bit of gardening time is also enjoyed.

Clare Harris

Job Title: Deputy Manager

Joined: 2020

Clare joined Elizabeth House, Bognor Regis in April 2020 as Deputy Manager. Clare’s passion is in dementia care because making a difference to the service users is paramount in ensuring their mental and emotional wellness needs are met to enjoy a good quality of life.


Clare enjoys sharing her knowledge in care, with younger members of staff, supporting their progression and passion in care.


Clare arrives at work each day with very much a can-do-approach. She enjoys speaking with health professionals and families, the residents in the home remain her focus.
