My dad had been unhappy in a number of other nursing homes costing way more than St George's Lodge.


We moved to St George's on a friend's recommendation.


All the staff and owners are extremely caring and accommodating. The rooms are comfortable and homely and clean


The staff arrange outings

and activities for the residents and proactively interact with me to let me know what's going on.


If there is a negative comment I find the plates the food are served on are bizarrely small or bowl like. Which means my dad tends to push the food off the plate or has difficulty cutting stuff. Volume and quality of food are good. But bigger flatter plates would be great.


Having seen several homes now I would have no qualms about recommending this lovely family run nursing home

With regard to your father's dinner plate; we have now offered him a larger plate with all meals. I'm sorry this was a concern, but now we are aware we are happy to change the size of plates used for meal times. I hope your father enjoys the rest of his stay with us. My mum chose St George's Lodge from a recommendation of a friend. Homely, friendly, efficient, caring, an exceptional care home at a very fair price. The staff are a good team and enjoy their work very much, a family feel to the home.
Mum and myself often said how fortunate we were for mum to be a

If you are reading this you will already know that all is not well in the care home industry. You would have visited places that you think could not exist in a civilised society. This is the one to regain your faith in care homes. My mum stayed for two years until her dementia got to a stage only a
specialist home could cope. People are happy here, food is good – so mum tells me, and the staff are caring and kind. Worthing’s best.

My mother arrived at the home in may for a two week trial and has happily stayed there since. She was made welcome by staff and residents and any requests for particular food or drink were immediately acted on. We have installed a TV and telephone in her room, so she has all the advantages of home,
without the worry of cooking and cleaning. The meals are excellent and the staff are very attentive and caring. We have recommended this home to a friend who has also moved in.

My aunt moved into St Georges Lodge about six months ago. A drastic change for anyone to make in their lives, but I can relate that she seems happy with the cleanliness of the home, the staff and they will always try to accommodate any requests in food. I have been made to feel welcome as a visitor
and always offered a welcome cup of tea. The staff have always been willing to discuss any queries concerning my aunt.

Came in for a week in may for respite, have moved in permanently in September. Lovely size room, excellent food, plus the care is first class. It takes time to settle after living on your own.

this is the best care home I have stayed in and I would recommend it to friends and family. The food is excellent and the home is great value for money. The staff would do anything for you and are very good. The doctors and nurses that visit are excellent.
