Cannot thank the management and staff enough for how well they looked after my 95 year old stepfather, who could at times be very vocal. At the end of the day the home could be a palace, but it all comes down to the staff, who were simply wonderful. My stepfather was looked after, emotionally and physically,
with the best nursing care when needed. They helped ease a burden for the whole family. I will always be grateful.

My husband was in hospital for four months and was very stressed, lost weight and could not eat or manage most usual day to day routines. Since he came to this care home he is much happier, has put the weight back on, feeds himself and joins in with most activities.

Our auntie has been residing at Kensington Lodge since April 2021. From her first day, up until present day, we have found many aspects of Kensington Lodge to be outstanding. We've been made to feel welcome and have been regularly updated and informed of any decisions needing to be made. The lovely,
warm, homely, yet safe and secure environment was a necessity for us as a family and Kensington Lodge offered all of this. All members of staff have always been attentive, supportive and offer the highest standard of care.

The quality of a care home is due to the quality of the staff. At Kensington Lodge the staff team demonstrate a high level of care and consideration towards my brother-in-law who has dementia. The staff team is consistent, which is really important when providing support for people with complex needs.
The atmosphere in the home is calm and reassuring. Due to this my brother-in-law, who had previously experienced a very difficult time, has settled and appears calm and content.

Dad moved into Kensington Lodge end of January this year. At the time, I was very concerned he would not react well to the move, but in fact, it transformed him! The manager, the staff and the chef welcomed Dad into their home and into their hearts, and within days, he was wearing the cheeky grin that
hadn't been seen in months. It was the right decision to move Dad into a small care home, and Kensington Lodge was the right choice and a great relief to me.

My family are returning customers of Kensington Lodge. My father spent some time with them two years ago.
It was a good home then and has improved with the new manager at the helm, leading a caring team. She appears to have a good understanding of her residents. The home is welcoming to relatives
and open to discussions regarding the care needs of their loved ones, being sympathetic in discussing some of the hard subjects that need to be discussed. Mother has settled in well and is now comfortable raising issues with staff.

Kensignton Lodge take excellent care of my dad and all the residents. The facilities are very clean and well maintained. Freshly cooked food is readily available and tastes fantastic (I've also tried some!).

I find the staff to be extremely kind and always on hand if and when I need them (with a smile on their faces).
The food is hotel, 5* standard.
My room is lovely and my bed is so comfortable.
I always feel like an important person and enjoy the staff dancing and singing.
I am kept clean and well

Room: Comfortable, well equipped and kept very clean.
Food: Good with varied menu.
Staff: Pleasant, co-operative and very capable. In addition to health care, hairdressing is an extremely welcome option. Visiting chiropodist every six weeks also very helpful.
Security: Varied. Good control of visitors
re COVID but 3 or 4 episodes of confused entrants to room at night. Also loss of a suitcase and one skirt.
Summary: A very pleasant experience staying at this care home. I should be happy to return if necessary in the future.

My father-in-law has been at Kensignton Lodge for just over a year. Since being at the home, he is happy and very well cared for. We cannot thank the staff enough for all their care, especially through the toughest times with COVID, and for keeping him safe. My father-in-law has got much cheekier and
it is really lovely to see him laughing and smiling. All thanks to the super, fantastic staff.

My 101-year-old mum has been at Kensington Lodge for over a year and has been well looked after since. She has a nice bedroom and enjoys the food. All the staff are friendly and take care of her.

Staff are very accommodating to both residents and visitors. The home has a lovely relaxed feel. The resident's transition from his own home to Kensington Lodge was very smooth and he appears to be very happy and settled due to the care and personalised support he has received.

On my first visit, I was met with music and smiles with residents dancing with staff.
Really great atmosphere and family feeling within the home.
The staff are all so welcoming and I couldn't expect anymore, the food is incredible and looks top restaurant style.
Visiting this home has changed my
view on care and I would happily place a family member into Kensington Lodge.
