I find all the staff very helpful. The care they give to my mother is five stars. They are very well trained and extremely caring. I don't live in the UK but every time I visit I am treated as if I visit everyday. Always a nice greeting and I am always informed on the mother's health.

I found the staff to be extremely helpful, whether it be carers and/or management when I visited my Mother in July. The circumstances surrounding my visit were very unfortunate, this was due to the sudden death of a dear friend who visited my Mother at least two to three times a week and ensured that
Mum had everything that she needed. When I spoke to the manageress she was extremely helpful and understanding and spent time with me discussing how best we should deal with the situation, which could have been very distressing for my Mum and this certainly helped to put my mind at rest and I was extremely thankful for the time and trouble that all the staff took and spent with myself. Thank you it was very much appreciated.

With a 20-year career in the caring profession, Elga has gained a wealth of experience in providing care and nursing support to elderly people to enrich their lives. She is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest standards of care and quality of life for residents.


Having worked at Oakhill House since March 2023, Elga closely shares HC-One’s vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every resident.


She extends this caring approach to her colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to residents in a way that they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


Talking about her track record, Elga said:
“Working in the caring profession is one of the most emotionally fulfilling careers available. I have gained various caring skills working in hospital and community settings, which have also sharpened and improved my people skills and management skills.”
